Domino Messaging Express allows users to access Domino-based messaging from their choice of client: Lotus Notes, Domino Web Access, or Domino Access for Microsoft Outlook. Users are not restricted to one or the other. For example, you may choose to use Lotus Notes in your office, and Domino Web Access when at home, or at a shared kiosk. In addition to using messaging, Domino Messaging Express also entitles users to share information in Domino Discussion Databases, and store files in Domino Document Libraries. Domino Messaging Express users are entitled to a restricted terms use of IBM Lotus Instant Messaging and Web Conferencing. 4 The IBM Lotus Domino Utility Server Express IBM Lotus Domino Utility Server Express allows companies to utilize the power, security, and flexibility of the Domino Enterprise Server to surface Domino-based applications to any of users, without the need of tracking/counting/purchasing individual user licenses. Instead, your company purchases a license for each CPU running on the server, up to an allowable maximum of four. Say you want to create a product catalog, or an online application form you could have thousands of users accessing the application, and it would not be cost effective to purchase licenses for each individual user. With Domino Utility Server Express, you don t have to. The IBM Lotus Domino Utility Server Express offering provides unlimited access to collaborative applications, but does not allow the use of individual mail files. Customers can choose to access their Domino applications through a Web browser, or through a separately purchased Lotus Notes client. IBM Lotus Domino Utility Server Express makes applications available to users internal to your company, as well as to external users. Access is allowed for individually authenticated as well as anonymous users.
