2 What Are the Lotus Business Solutions Catalogs? Website catalogs which serve as the single repository for Customers to access to hundreds of Business Partner and IBM production ready solutions (i.e.: portlets, services, tools, etc..) that are integrated with one or more of the Lotus portfolio products. All software solutions have been technically validated Our Customers definitely want technically validated solutions so they have confidence to run their businesses on the software This is an area that sets IBM apart from our competition, most who don t offer technically validated solutions The Catalogs include IBM solutions, all which can be accessed and downloaded at no charge. IBM makes quarterly rollouts of these solutions, such as from the IBM Portal Development team. Strong linkages to other IBM Software Group Catalogs (SOA, Tivoli, WebSphere) which were built on the same technology 2 5/11/2007

7 IBM Value Proposition & Usage of the Catalog The Lotus Business Solution Catalogs were created to be used by the following IBM audiences IBM Sales teams and Resellers for pre-sales (Show what we have available to encourage/compete a sale) IBM Services teams, System Integrators and Customer Development teams to use implementations listed in the Catalog during product installation Easy navigation between all IBM Software parent & sub catalogs (including those from Lotus, WebSphere Portal, SOA, Tivoli, and WebSphere) 7 5/11/2007

8 2006 IBM Lotus Business Solutions Catalogs Results 68,789 referrals to Partner & IBM solutions for download or purchase 76% increase over 2005 referrals There are over 400 Total Partners in Lotus Catalogs today Over 1000 Partner and 160 IBM solutions currently available 564 Solutions delivered from 274 Partners during % of all our Partners delivered a new or updated solution in 2006 In 2006 there were: ~40,000 unique visitors to the Lotus Catalogs > Each visitor averaged 2.8 visits per year > Each visitor viewed 9.3 average pages per visit > 16.1% visitors bookmarked the Catalog site to their favorites 8 5/11/2007

9 Business Partner Catalog Reference "In the 2.5 years that the Citrix Portlets for WebSphere Portal have been available more than 2,050 customers have visited the WebSphere Catalogue to download them. Our portlet allows customers to access Windows and UNIX applications through WebSphere Portal - without having to rewrite them. One bank enabled WebSphere Portal access to 100 Windows applications by their 6,000 branch employees without the expense of porting them to web apps. 13 Lotus Catalog Entry Process Summary: 1. Create a Global Solutions Directory listing within PartnerWorld for your solution and/or service 2. Nominate your listing created in Step 1 to be included in one of Catalogs 3. Review and accept the PartnerWorld Agreement Attachment (IISCOA) allowing your listing(s) to be included into one or more of the Catalogs 4. (Optional) No-charge access to the IBM Lotus middleware software for development purposes (System Integrators normally skip this step) 5. Download, complete & submit the Integration Checklist for your solution 6. Create your solution s documentation that you will use with Customers 7. Create Web access to your solution documentation (created in Step 6) 8. Provide additional information which will be used in your Catalog listing. For solutions, IBM will schedule a technical validation for you to demo. 13 5/11/2007

16 Past Partner Misconceptions with the Catalogs Time/cost to integration Rumors: It costs too much to integration my solution IBM won t assist me in integration FACT: For a company who is J2EE based this is just like writing a Java Servlet. It can be done in under 2 weeks. IBM provides Partners integration assistance at our IBM Innovation centers world-wide or will help with Q&A via voice or you just need to call for help! Value of the Lotus Business Solutions Catalogs Rumors: The catalog isn t in my language. I will get no Customer business from the Catalogs FACT: The Catalogs are translated in all major languages entries can be placed in these languages Our Partner process webpages instructions are translated into all major languages. There are over 400 Partners with over 1000 solutions/services listed in the Lotus Business Solutions Catalogs Over 4000 IBM Customers and Business Partners access this catalog on a regular basis You get out of the catalog what you put in it. Partners who place their entry in the catalog and make their solution easy to access direct from the catalog website link get more business. Page 16

Ready for Validated: This category identifies items that are designed, tested, and validated for a deeper level of integration with WebSphere Portal or have been validated for Lotus Notes and Domino. They have been reviewed by IBM for technical validity and Ready for Criteria with IBM software. IBM Validated: This category identifies items that IBM has created, either for IBM products or for 3 rd party products. They have been tested to ensure they behave well with the products they were developed to work with. As Is (Unvalidated): As Is items have not been reviewed by IBM for technical validity.
