1 Withdrawal Announcement February 12, 2002 Hardware Withdrawal: Selected IBM iseries and AS/400 Products Replacements Available Overview Effective March 12, 2002, July 2, 2002, October 1, 2002, and December 3, 2002, IBM will withdraw selected iseries and AS/400 products from marketing. For withdrawal details, refer to the Product Withdrawal section. March 12, 2002: Z AS/400 Data/Fax Modem V.34 July 2, 2002: Model 7xx processor upgrades and 7xx interactive capacity upgrades Model 250 custom configurations and processor upgrades Miscellaneous features and feature conversions October 1, 2002: Machine Type 9309 racks and remaining associated models and features December 3, 2002: 8.58 GB 10K rpm disk drives On or after the effective dates of withdrawal, you can no longer obtain these products directly from IBM or an IBM Authorized Distributor.
