14 Introduction Chapter 1 SECTION 1 GENERAL INFORMATION The System Administration Terminal (SAT) program is a Windows application that allows the user to easily program and configure many features of the Electra Elite IPK and Electra Elite 48/192 systems from most any personal computer. SECTION 2 SAT SOFTWARE OVERVIEW The SAT software allows programming and configuring the Electra Elite IPK system as well as an Electra Elite 48/192 system (using Series 1000~Series 8000). The technician only needs this single SAT version installed on their laptop PC to communicate with either of the KTS systems. SAT makes programming fast and easy, reducing the overall customizing time to a minimum. Simply connect the PC (with SAT installed) to the KTS using one of these methods: Direct connection Remote connection (via external modem or built-in modem) LAN/WAN connection SAT allows all system data to be configured off-line. When programming and configuration are complete, the data can be uploaded to the main processor. For system backup, SAT allows the customer s database data to be downloaded to a disk for safe keeping. Elite IPK SAT Technician s Guide 1-1
