2 1) Overview This app serves as an electronic catalog of spare parts with documents. It lists spare parts that can be ordered at Sirona and makes them easy to find using exploded view drawings. Furthermore, you can also display and download the most important documents. The app has the following benefits: Flexibility: Access ipad/iphone spare parts lists offline View and download documents with an internet connection Quickly find and reference spare parts Easy to use, simple display with gesture control Shopping cart to send to the warehouse, where you can copy and paste it into the Sirona online shop to order. 2) Prerequisites The following conditions must be met in order to use the app: Internet access with the ipad/iphone (document downloads) please consider your data tariff. For the full version, you will need a license or activation key, which you can obtain from Sirona free of charge (see below). You will also need ios version 6 or higher on your ipad/iphone. 3) Downloading and installing the latest version of Sirona Spares Download the app and save it on your the computer with itunes linked to your ipad/iphone. When the download is finished, open itunes. If necessary, you should delete the old version of Sirona Spares, if you have one, both from your ipad/iphone and in itunes, and once again synchronize your "empty" device. Add the downloaded app file to the itunes library. Now connect your ipad/iphone with your computer and select "Sirona/Spares" in itunes under "Apps" so that it is transferred to your ipad/iphone when you next sync your device with the computer. Select "Sync" or "Apply". After synchronization, the app will be on the ipad/iphone and can now be used with limited functionality (until it is activated free of charge with Sirona). 2

3 4) Registration To receive the unlock code, which will allow you to view all products, please the Sirona customer services center Your must include the serial number of your ipad/iphone. 4 5) Structure of the app The app is designed for easy and intuitive use. The following diagram shows the key operating elements. Navigation buttons Input field to search for material numbers or designations of spare parts Action button, e.g. to activate the scanner. Sirona products are arranged in this tree structure. Display field for drawings and documents. You can toggle between the spare part (drawing) view and the document view. 4

5 The symbols used in the header of the app are shown below: Back: Here you can return to the previous level of the product hierarchy. Home: This function will take you to the app's home page. Contact form : Opens the Sirona contact form for spare parts inquiries, e.g. if you cannot find parts in the app. Search: Text field for the search function to enter material numbers or material designations. Please note that the text entered here (e.g. "LED") will find all materials that have the text in any part of the designation. Scanner: Uses the iphone/ipad camera to scan bar codes on Sirona spare parts packaging. After you have scanned the bar code, the app will show you the relevant drawing in which the scanned component is used. Bookmarks: Previously set bookmarks are shown here and can be accessed by selecting them. Shopping cart: Use this button to send an of products that you have previously placed in your shopping cart. The symbols in the footer have the following functions: Spare parts: Switches to the display of the spare parts and exploded view drawings. Publications: Switches to the display of documents (e.g. service instructions) and dental/technician's information. 5

6 6) Navigating in the spare parts catalog The parts catalog is divided into two views: The products / spare parts are listed on the left hand side. All of the available spare parts are arranged under the respective products. On the top level, only the superordinate products (e.g. treatment units) are shown. Select the desired product to open a subordinate product class. Repeat the process until you see the desired spare parts. The exploded view drawings are shown on the right hand side. They change the selection on the left hand side accordingly. You can zoom into the image using the standard "pinch" gesture on your ipad/iphone (i.e. moving your two fingers apart), move the image or click the icons in gray (e.g. "C") to jump to that subgroup. Press the icons with the gray background to jump to that product area. Click on the category shown to enter the respective area. 6

7 7) Using the search function To access the search function, press on the input field with the magnifying glass in the header. From here, you can enter either: the full name the article number the first letter If you want to search by material numbers, please note that this has a different format in the dental and technician's information (separated by blank spaces "ZZ ZZ ZZZ"). Searching by material numbers follows the same method as searching by words. Therefore, please do not leave any spaces between the numbers in this app. For example, instead of " ", search for " ". 8) Setting a bookmark To set a bookmark, select the desired spare part. The dialog shown below will appear. Select "Mark item" to select the name of the product and select or create a category for the product. Press "Save" to save the bookmark entry. 9) Using the shopping cart function ("Ordering") To add a part to your shopping cart, first select the corresponding part as described above ("Setting a bookmark"), then change the number required with the +/ buttons and click "Add to cart". 7

8 The shopping cart function will then allow you to send spare parts gathered in this way as an to your headquarters/warehouse. From here, you can then copy and past the selected parts in the Sirona online shop and trigger an order. To send the shopping cart, select the cart symbol in the top right hand corner. The following dialog will appear: Select from the following functions: Click "Edit" to delete individual entries in your shopping cart. "Delete shopping cart" will remove all items from your shopping cart. "Send shopping cart" is used to forward the contents of your cart to a selected address. The sent will contain a section (text block with the structure "Material number Quantity", see right), which can be directly copied and pasted into the Sirona online shop, without changing any of the text. 9 10) Documentation function After switching to the publications view by clicking the relevant button in the footer of the app, you can view the documents arranged by product. Please note that the documents are downloaded from a Sirona server over the Internet. Please consider this if you are not connected to the Internet via a wireless network, but are using a tariffbased Internet connection. In order to save documents on your ipad, please use the "Actions" icon (top right in the illustration above), which is shown after the documents have been downloaded and displayed. After you select the icon, the respective apps used to show PDF documents on your ipad or iphone will appear. Select the app to save the document and start the app. 9
