21 Completing an SDL TMS job Steps for uploading an offline desktop job (7 steps): If there are multiple ITDs, zip them together Log into TMS Select Task Upload Click browse Browse to the ITD/zipped ITDs and select Click Automatically submit ITD files when successfully uploaded Click Start upload With SDL Studio Online, this becomes one step: submit project Time spent on set up / delivery admin will be an estimated 90% lower using SDL Studio Online vs Desktop version 21

22 Accessing Online TMs Using SDL Studio Online, it is possible to access up-to-date TMs Downloadable TMs from SDL TMS are often only updated once a week, but by accessing the TMs online they will always have the very latest content in them Several people can use the online TM successfully without significant reductions in speed Translators and reviewers given different access rights freelancers and translators have read only, reviewers have read/write so they can update the TM 22

26 Moving to SDL TMS 2011 SP1 Hosted SDL Client Services will be contacting each customer individually to schedule/confirm their upgrade. They will coordinate with our hosting team and SDL Professional Services to ensure a smooth upgrade process On-premise We recommend that you contact SDL Professional Services for assistance with the upgrade. The Professional Services team can help you carefully assess the impact of the upgrade on your TMS environment, as well as plan the upgrade and test your customizations. As with any major enterprise software release, we recommend thorough testing on a staging server prior to upgrading your production environment 26

28 SDL Studio Online Licensing Licensed to an organization, not an end user Customers obtain the SDL Studio Online licenses for their SDL TMS system and allow users to use those licenses In the future the SDL Studio Online licensing system may be updated to allow the end user to obtain and fulfil a license for SDL Studio Online 28
