5 SUMMARY OBJECTIVES The project website ( serves as the single point of entry for access to all relevant, public information about the T CELL project. Information on the website includes general information about the project and consortium members, news and events as well as public project results such as deliverables, presentations and publications. This regularly updated public website is addressed to both the general public, by providing a non technical account of the aims and achievements of T CELL and an explanation of its significance within the wider context of energy production, as well as to the science and technology communities by publishing selected scientific results. The website was designed, implemented and hosted at CERTH by the informatics group of the Laboratory of Process Systems Design and Implementation (PSDI) of CPERI/CERTH. It is fully operational and accessible to the public since November WEBSITE IMPLEMENTATION The website was designed with Joomla! software. Joomla! is an open source, content management system (CMS), which enables to build websites and powerful online applications. Many aspects, including its ease of use and extensibility, have made Joomla the most popular Web site software available. The advantages of Joomla! software are: Open source platform, available for free Easy to use, vast collection of templates Powerful and easy menu creation tool Fast, safe, and easy editing Access control lists (ACLs) Built in basic SEF (Search Engine Friendly) functionality Compatible with nearly all browsers WEBSITE STRUCTURE The structure of the website is designed to provide direct access to basic information about the concept, scope and objectives of the T CELL project, its impact and structure (work package description), the consortium partners (contact persons and organisations), news and events, and publications in international prominent peer reviewed journals and conferences. Through the contact page the project coordinator can be contacted using a web form or by regular e mail, phone or post. A tool is also provided to search within the content of the website. CONCLUSIONS The public web site was foreseen as a tool for the dissemination of the project s results to general public and scientific and technological communities. This target was achieved since the release of T CELL website ( and will continue its role by regular updates on scientific results and other dissemination activities. Page 5
