4 1.1 How to Use this Document Welcome to the Cyberview Brand Guide These guidelines are designed to provide you with all the elements, and guidance you need to be able to successfully articulate the Cyberview brand across internal and external communications. Our aim is to achieve a unified brand through consistency of tonality and visual expression across our communications. Having a consistent brand expression is important for raising awareness, building equity into our brand, and for providing our stakeholders with the confidence that we are a leader in the development of global tech hubs. 1.0 Introduction 4
5 1.2 Our Brand Story At Cyberview, we re always OPEN What does it take to create and manage a global tech ecosystem? Some will have you believe that it all comes down to a great idea, a few great men, a great plan. Of course, this is all important. But at Cyberview we dare to disagree. As an enabler of global tech hubs we believe success is about the right attitude, not the right formula. An attitude that invites collaboration. That recognises that we don t have all the answers, but we want to discover them together. An attitude that makes us ask questions, to better understand needs and create solutions that are industry-relevant. An attitude that embraces failure: experiment, try, retry. 6 1.3 Tone of Voice Cyberview s tone of voice is a combination of the following three tonalities. These TOV s are not mutually exclusive and one space is not recommended over the other. The most powerful expression of our brand is when these three are combined. Inquisitive At Cyberview, we are inquisitive, we re open to learning new things. We yearn for more and are always curious. Ready for Tomorrow We understand that change is a constant are ready for what tomorrow has to bring. At Cyberview we re switched on and forward looking. 7 1.4 Brand Messaging Framework (To Be Updated) Open is our brand essence that can work across different levels of messaging. Key Message Illustrative Communications This messaging framework is an illustrative guide to demonstrate how a brand idea can be applied to different stakeholders and different messages. Management Employees Together we must champion our new brand culture and always stay switched on We need to lead by exemplifying an Open and Switched on spirit. Cyberview is a collaborative techhub enabler that empowers tech communities. 12 2.4 Our Identity The Story behind our identity Cyberview was developed in accordance to MSC Malaysia s aim to transform the nation into an innovation-based economy through the use of ICT. With our new corporate rebrand, we refreshed our identity to represent that at Cyberview, we are switched on. Open is an attitude, a way of being. It is dynamic, vibrant and ready for what s next. Our identity refresh expresses the culture of openness that we want to create at Cyberview. 2.0 Our Core Brand Assets 12
13 2.5 Our Brand Architecture- Monolithic Master Brand The Cyberview master brand logo should be used whenever possible to officially represent the Company. This application must be in accordance to the approved brand architecture. However, there may be exception to this. Please consult the Corporate Communication team for this exception. Monolithic: Tech Programme, Service & Initiative Sub-brand logo The tech programme, service and initiative sub-brands are extensions to the master brand that allows Cyberview and its partners a more distinct method of promoting each of the individual tech programme. The sub-brands are developed by incorporating the master brand attributes to ensure that all marks remain fully connected. Living Lab Cyberjaya Partner Sub-brand logo(s) can be used on their own to identify and support programme-related information; or when organising and promoting the programme(s). 14 2.5 Our Brand Architecture- Monolithic Sub-brand Logo Usage Using the Sub-brand logo The sub-brand logo should only be used in communications relating to the sub-brand programme. This includes its application in event materials relating to the sub-brand programme. When participating in third-party events relating to any one of these programmes, The sub-brand logos shall also be used. The rule applies to programme partners subject to the agreed role of each party. Partner must always carry Cyberview s branding even when promoting the programmes on their platforms. Creating closer connection to tech-related places supports our positioning as a tech hub enabler and highlights the connection between space and tech. 16 2.5 Our Brand Architecture- Endorsed by Cyberjaya Endorsed by Cyberjaya Endorsed by Cyberjaya logo can be applied for places, services or events that are non tech-related. The logo for the place, service or event can be used independently, or applied together with the Cyberjaya logo. The endorsement line is not used in these instances, unlike Endorsed by Cyberview logo 1.0 Introduction 16
17 2.6 Using Our Logo- Monolithic Colours The primary logo is in Pantone 802C, Neon Green. For web and digital publishing, RGB breakdowns can be used. For print collaterals, P802C must always be used to reproduce the Neon Green. 18 2.7 Using Our Endorsed by Cyberview- Colours Endorsed by Cyberview: Tech Places Endorsed by Cyberview colours must be used for techrelated property, venues and services that are managed by Cyberview. However for tech-related services like programme, initiative or events managed or organised by Cyberview, the monolithic colours are apply. Primary colours Pantone Black Pantone 428 C Pantone 2965 C2 The colours This primary colors should be used for the exterior property and can be supported by the secondary colours. 19 2.8 Using Our Logo Logo Lockups The brandmark and logotype is a lockup. Lock-up The brandmark should never appear on its own. The logotype, however, can be used on its own only when it is used as a footer within the supergraphic and in instances where there needs to be a Cyberview brand endorsement. 20 2.9 Using Our logo Clear Space and Minimum Size The clear space around the logo is defined by the X-height, determined by the height of the logotype. 21 2.10 Using Our logo Recommended Minimum Sizes Consistent minimum sizes of the logo on our applications maintains uniformity, legibility, brand identity and brand recognition. Detailed here are some of the recommended minimum sizes of the logo in relation to common formats. It is also possible to calculate the logo size by increasing the logo size proportionally on an A4 document based on 40mm width. 23 2.12 Using Our logo Incorrect Usage These are some examples of the incorrect applications and usages of our logo and should be avoided at all times. Do not use the brandmark only Do not rotate the logo Do not adjust the type away from the logo CYBERVIEW Do not change the logo colour Do not add drop shadow to the logo Do not change the logotype font Do not use the logo as a tint or watermark Do not break the logo into a horizontal format 2.0 Our Core Brand Assets 23
24 2.13 Introducing Our Supergraphic System Our supergraphic is used as a brandbuilding device that can be used in a multitude of ways. It is not a decorative graphic to be spattered at whim. Note: The supergraphic is made of 2 elements one solid block and 8 segments as shown on the right, and should never be used separately. 25 2.14 Using Our Supergraphic System As a Sign-off Bar When our supergraphic is used as a sign-off bar: The height of the supergraphic is determined by the x-height of the logotype. 2. The supergraphic is used as a supporting graphic device at the bottom of the page such as corporate stationery or as a place holder for our logotype such as powerpoint presentation. 26 2.15 Using Our Supergraphic System As a background graphic When our supergraphic is used as a background graphic: It fills the full page of our communications such as in presentation covers and dividers. 2. Note: When using Cyberview as an endorsement line, we should use our secondary colours only.
