2 A. A Guide to use the INSETA SMS Offline Module Step 1: First follow this link and download dotnetfx.exe which is needed to use the learner offline module. F D1E7CF3A3&displaylang=en Step 2: Step 3: Right click on the attached file and extract the contents of the zip file to your C-drive in a folder called LO Open LO folder and move LO short cut to desk top. 3 Step 4: Click on the Blue Icon named LO (You don t need to be connected to SMS to do this). Figure 1.2 Step 5: Select INSETA from the dropdown box Figure 1.3 Login Screen of Learner Offline Module The Offline version will now search for all the providers for INSETA that are captured on SMS. Step 6: Step 7: NOTE: Select your provider company name from the dropdown box. Fill in you Username and Password that you usually use to access the information on SMS. Do not select the Internal User option. It is for SETA use only. The Offline Version will now search for all in the information that are linked to this specific provider on SMS. The Offline Version also verifies the login information against the provider information the same way that the SMS is doing when you logon to the SMS. 6 OR Linking a Learnership Select the programme/qualification from the dropdown box. Select the Start and the End date and click on the Save button to save and link the programme to the learner. Click on the Close button to close the window and to see the programmes that was added to the learner. Figure 1.8 Link learner to Learnership Agreement Select the Learnership Title from the dropdown box. Select the Commencement Date and the system will automatically make the Completion date a year later. Select the Status Effective Date Select whether this learner is Sponsored or Non-sponsored. o Sponsored: When the Seta funds the Learnership o Non-sponsored: When the Employer/Provider is funding the Learnership Select the Agreement Status as Registered Select the Phase Click on the Save button to save and link the programme to the learner. 8 NOTE: You don t need to click on this button after every learner. Only click on this button once you ve entered and linked all you learners. When you click on the Send To Seta Database button, the system will import all the learners with their details. The system will automatically link these learners to the provider profile on the system, so that when you login to SMS and you do a search you will be able to call up the learners with their details. The system will also link the programme that you ve selected for the learner to the learner so that the details are ready for you to do the assessment uploads. 10 Step 5: Select an ASSESSOR from the dropdown box next to the relevant Unit Standard Figure 2.5 Step 6: Select a MODERATOR from the dropdown box. Step 7: Complete the Assessment Date Step 8: Click on the "UPDATE" button. NOTE 1: The ASSESSOR field is a compulsory field. The system will not accept the update of the achievement if there is no assessor. NOTE 2: Only the ASSESSORS linked to the Provider and where the Unit Standard is part of their scope will appear in the dropdown box NOTE 3: The MODERATOR field is not a compulsory field, as only a sample of 10% needs to be moderated as per ETQA requirements.
