2 TechMed 3DsizeME Quick User Guide INITIAL SET-UP 1. Download the 3DsizeME app and the Calibrator app from the Apple Store. 2. Launch the Calibrator app. Follow the on-screen prompts to calibrate the structure sensor. 3. Launch the 3DsizeME app. 4. Contact Orthomerica Customer Service to provide the Structure Sensor s serial number and receive the bundle ID code. 5. Swipe the TechMed logo to the right to reveal the hidden menu with set-up options. Select Settings and input the provided Bundle ID code into the Bundle ID field. Select X to close Settings window. 3 6. Swipe Orthomerica logo to right to reveal hidden menu and select Practitioners. For each practitioner, select New Practitioner, input their information, and select Save Information. a. Note: Swipe Orthomerica logo to left to hide menu. Minimize keyboard to access fields that are hidden behind it to complete the form. Pencil option is used to edit info. b. Note: To delete a practitioner from Practitioner List, swipe the corresponding purple arrow to the left to reveal the delete option. Select Delete and follow prompts Orthomerica Products, Inc. 4 SCAN INSTRUCTIONS 1. If Client List is not displayed, swipe the Orthomerica logo to right and select Clients. 2. Either select an existing client in Client List or select New Client to input new patient info. a. Note: Search is used to find existing clients. Pencil option is used to edit client info. b. Note: To delete a client from Client List or a scan from client s Latest Scans list, swipe the corresponding purple arrow to the left to reveal the delete option. 5 3. Patient information should display on left side of screen. Select appropriate side foot to display scan options. Select AFO option and the START button should turn green. Select START to begin the scan process. a. Note: If the Please connect Structure Sensor notification pops-up, then either: i. Battery charge is low on structure sensor and has caused a loss in connection between the ipad and structure sensor. If so, user must charge structure sensor. The structure sensor battery life status is shown in bottom right hand corner of scan acquisition screen. ii. Sensitivity of cord plugs is causing a poor connection between the ipad and structure sensor. User should: 1. Clean the ports on the ipad and structure sensor, 2. Verify that both cord plugs are properly inserted into the ipad and structure sensor ports, and 3. Verify that the position of user s hands is not interfering with the cord. 4. With the scan acquisition screen open, position client s lower leg within scanning box. Adjust box so that limb fills the area inside. Area to be scanned should become a red/rust color when properly positioned. Adjust box height and width using two fingers. 6 Adjust Box Width Adjust Box Height a. Note: If the Please connect Structure Sensor notification pops-up, refer to Step 3a. The structure sensor battery life status is shown in bottom right hand corner of scan acquisition screen (see below). 5. Once the limb is positioned correctly, click START. Acquire the patient scan using a slow and steady pace for smooth surfaces. Once the scan is complete, click DONE. a. Note: Distance between ipad scanner and limb is shown at bottom of screen in green. 7 i. Orange ipad scanner is getting too close or too far from limb. ii. Red with Please put the model back in view warning ipad scanner is either unable to view entire model or it s too far from limb and must be adjusted. iii. Red with Too close to the scene! Please step back warning ipad scanner is too close to limb and must be adjusted. b. Note: If the Please connect Structure Sensor notification pops-up, refer to Step 3a. 6. Review scan to make sure it s adequate (move view using finger gestures). If the scan is unsatisfactory, click the blue return button and start again. There are three options at lower left of screen that allow the user to take an editable screenshot, take a photo, or attach a note. These features may be used to better explain the patient s diagnosis/requirements. Take Screen Shot Take Photo Attach a Note 7. After reviewing the scan, click DONE. The order review screen will appear. User may view and edit order components, as necessary, and submit all order components to Orthomerica Orthomerica Products, Inc. All rights reserved. 8 8. Click on each orthometry form in the Order Forms section to input all relevant information. Clicking X on the form will save and close the form. 9. Review all order components. If unsatisfied, select component to redo/edit the component. To delete component(s), click #3 (tiles icon), select the applicable components, and click #2 (trashcan icon) to delete component(s) Click on item #1 (cloud icon shown above) to save, close, and submit the order to Orthomerica or click on START to save the order without submitting. Follow on-screen prompts, as necessary. a. If attempting to submit the order with no Wi-Fi connection, a notification will appear. b. When a Wi-Fi connection is reestablished, order will resume submission automatically. i. To review the Wi-Fi connection status, reveal hidden menu. If the Connection Status states Ready, then Wi-Fi is connected. If the Connection Status states No Network, then there is no Wi-Fi connection established. c. To review the status of an order submission, reveal hidden menu. i. Orders in submission process to Orthomerica will be shown in Files Ready for Upload list with a loading symbol next to it. 1. If there is no Wi-Fi connection, the loading symbol will not appear. 2. If user either closes the 3DsizeME app. or turns off the ipad prior to an order completing submission to Orthomerica, then the order will remain on the Files Ready for Upload list. When user re-opens the 3DsizeME app., the order will resume submission to Orthomerica. ii. Orders that have already been submitted to Orthomerica will be shown in the Files Recently Uploaded list. iii. Only orders conducted during this application session will show on the Files Recently Uploaded list. When the 3DsizeME application is closed, all orders are removed from this list. However, orders will remain saved in the Client List. The 3DsizeME scanner application is powered by TechMed 3D, Inc.
