1 WUSTL Access to Epic What to Expect Purpose: Below are several examples of what WUSTL staff should expect when trying to access Epic from various types of workstations. The Appendix also has some helpful information for setting up Citrix, Active Directory, and some term definitions. WUSTL User Logging into BJC VDI Device When logging into a VDI device, the WUSTL user is likely using their badge which is tied to a BJC-NT user account. When logging into Epic, they will use their WUSTLkey username and password. In the short term, SSO (badging in) for WUSTL users into Epic Hyperspace is being disabled, allowing users to manually enter their WUSTLkey information rather than receive errors. WUSTL User Logging into BJC Computer For full (non-shared) Windows BJC PC s, WUSTL users should login with their WUSTLkey using the following format: accounts\username and their WUSTLkey password. 1

2 WUSTL User Logging into WUSTL Computer When first launching Citrix, it will prompt you for an account to be added. Users will need to enter their WUSTL credentials for the Epic store. For the BJC store, use your BJC-NT username and password; it will be the same one you are using within the hospital and clinics. Once logged in, you should see the PRD Hyperspace icon populate to your desktop. Some other applications may load as well. All Citrix applications are available within the Citrix Receiver Self-Service window. Single clicking on the PRD Hyperspace icon will launch the application. 2

3 WUSTL User Logging in from Outside of the Facility If a WUSTL user needs to access Epic from outside of the facility, they will need to be on a VPN connection and go the Epic Storefront by following this link: WUSTL users will need to enter their username in the form accounts.ad.wustl.edu\wustlkey. Similar to Citrix Receiver, you will see all of your Epic applications listed. Single clicking the application icon will launch Hyperspace (Citrix Receiver must be installed to launch). If the user is enrolled and active in Imprivata, they will be automatically logged into Epic. If they are not, the login screen below will be presented. Enter your WUSTLkey username and password directly; you do not need to enter the full domain here. 3

4 WUSTL User Logging into M*Modal Fluency Direct on BJC Computer Currently WUSTL users login to their workstations using a variety of domain accounts. M*Modal is being setup to handle each of these domains. BJC VDI, however, will automatically log the user in with their BJC-NT account. In order to switch from BJC-NT to the correct WUSTL domain in M*Modal follow the steps below: 1. Double click on the MMODAL icon on your desktop. 2. Left click anywhere on the words Please sign in or in the blank grey area. 3. Type in your username in the username field and type in your password in the password field. NOTE: Please use your WashU domain account that is used to logon to your WashU Office Computer. This is the domain account that is used for your MModal account. Styles of WashU domains and their usernames include: WUSTL Key: accounts\userid WUDOSIS: wudosis.wustl.edu\userid DOM: dom.wustl.edu\userid NEURO: neuro.wucon.wustl.edu\userid PCF: pcf.wustl.edu\userid ANEST: wuda.wucon.wustl.edu\userid PSYCH: psych.wucon.wustl.edu\userid FPP: fpp.wucon.wustl.edu\userid 4. Left click Sign In when the button turns from a light blue to dark blue. Pictured below is an example of a WashU WUSTL Key account filled out with a username and password prior to sign in. 5. Upon successful Sign In, you will see your name appear on the grey pill. 4
