ArdiTrack Demo Kits: Installation Guide (Rev 3 12/2014) Please read this guide before installing. System Diagram ( ArdiTech Demo Site Example):
Product overview: 2.4G Technology with Cloud based monitoring system. It is low cost, low power, blind zone free and high through put tracking system. Key Feature System works with modern browser (HTML5) includes all type of PCs and smart phone/tablet. It let you monitor and track your objects in real time. System is good for indoor and outdoor application. System can handle up to 1000 tags simultaneously. Special features: Support Multi Maps (floors / zones) and Multi Electronic fence settings. Alert events can be triggered by each e fence. E fence node has four sensor ranges and can be programmed by the system software. Each tag location is accurate within 5 meters. Panic button can be monitored by the system for Emergency Call. Within coverage areas, managing system or control person can page each tag (or group of tags) for warning or assistance request. Easy installation with drag and drop Maps into the App. Use modern web browser to login to the monitoring system and track your objects within system cover areas. Active notifications log can be save up to 120 days. Specifications System Cover range: Depends on Ethernet cover range Max Tag number: 1000 Max node number: 256 Max response time < 10 seconds Node module Tag unit Max cover range: 50 meters (M) radius RF range for indoor / outdoor application Electronic fence node has four sensor ranges: Disable; Far (5 +/ 2 M); Near (2 +/1 1 M); Very Close (< 0.5 M). Max cover tags: 100 / Node AC power with DC backup: 24 hours per day; 7 days per week. CR2032 button cell battery: 100 days (24 hours of usage per day) Auto broadcast Max distance: 50 meters
Hardware Package Contents: Monitor Module (Raspberry Pi + RF module) 1. 8GB SD card with Special Arditrack Driver 2. Power adapter Node Module 1. Backup battery
2. Power adapter Tag unit 1. CR2032 battery Pre requirement for the ArdiTrack system installation: 1. One active Internet Router with one Ethernet port open. (we need to use Ethernet cable to connect to Monitor Module for uploading real time data to Cloud Server)
2. ArdiTrack Hardware Kits and tracking tags. 3. Location Map (It has to be in scale with jpeg / png / bitmap file formats) 4. Monitor Module is preferred to locate in the center of the tracking map. (Monitor Module need to receive data from each Node Module and upload to Cloud Server) 5. Because of each Node Module can only cover up to 50 meters radius RF range, Node Module to Node Module spacing should be less than 50 meters. (The 50 meters RF range may reduce by these environment factors: physical obstacles i.e. metal object or water tank or 2.4GHZ noise ) 6. Tag s real time location accuracy is depended on three Node module RF cover ranges. Node Module has to be placed in proper locations and each tag travel path can be seen by any three Node Modules within themselves RF range cover area.
Hardware and System Installation Steps: Step1: Assign each node module to the map Using pre prepare Map (printed out for the final documentation) and assign Node Module ID to each corner (or proper locations). Each Node Module has unique ID; please write ID number to the printed Map. We need these ID number to work with Tracking System s Map Registration function. Step2: Hardware Kits installation steps (each Monitor Module has unique MAC Address, please keep this information for tech support) 1. Install 8GB SD card to the Monitor Module 2. Monitor Module power up sequence: Connect Ethernet Cable first and apply mini USB power to the unit. The solid Red LED will light up from Raspberry Pi and RF module s Red LED will continue flash to show communicate with Node Module.
3. Node Module power up sequence: Install battery into Node Module. User can see the second Red LED (Near) will turn ON. You can move Node Module to assign location (as describe in Step 1). During this movement, the Node Module RF signal strength LED will tell you RF signal valid status: Near > Middle >Far and Dis alarm. The Dis alarm shows the RF signal is very poor; you cannot use this point as Node Module location. 4. Repeat previous step for each Node Module to assign location. It is preferred to install Each Node Module to 2 meters or higher above from each floor (ground level). Node Module comes with power adapter and backup battery. Apply power adapter to module is essential for long lasting usage. 5. The backup battery can only last 24 hours continue usages. Step3: Install battery to each tag unit. 1. Remove the top cover with your hand. Force the top cover to slide from its mounted position towards the top of the Tag. (as below) 2. Insert the battery into the battery compartment with or negative polarity of the battery facing up. Then replace the top cover by sliding it down into the compartment. (as below)
Software Installation Steps: About Cloud Server software overview: ArdiTrack Server will works with modern browser (HTLM5), includes all type of PCs and smart phone/ table. But it is easier to use mouse and PC for setting up Map boundaries and Node Modules location by drag and drop and double click mouse to complete setup tasks. The preferred modern web browsers are Google Chrome, Firefox and Safari. Each ArdiTrack Hardware demo kits will have unique Cloud Server Web Address assigned to that MAC Address. The information label is located on the back of Monitor Module. The unique web address will be as following format (Please refer to detail documentation from final shipping package): is number i.e. demo3.arditrack.com for your web address. User name and password for authentic login: Main Admin (For add/remove Map Registration; Tags and view activities) User: admin Password: admin123 Tag Admin: (For add/remove Tags Registration and view activities) User: tagadmin Password: tagadmin123 General users: (For view activities only) User: user Password: user123 You can tap the Admin in top right corner to change the password. Step1: Login to the Cloud Server Web Server address: (i.e. demo3.arditrack.com) Enter authentic login user name and password:
Step2: Register Map into to the Cloud Server If you do not have any Map register into the system, the ArdiTrack Server will remind you the first time. (If you have previous Node prosperities, use Single Click to view/modify properties value). For new Node setting: Use Printed Map as guide and Double Click to add node to the Map. For each node, you have to enter the unique Node ID to the field (do not change X and Y value at this time). Continue these steps to add all Node ID to the Map. Click Done to complete this task. Note: You have an option to enable Electronic Fence function to each Node Module. If this is the initial setup, please accept Disable as default setting: Electronic Fence Option: Type Trigger Range (On the Map symbol) Disable NONE Red dot
Far 5 +/ 3 meters Red dot with Red fence Near 2 +/ 1 meter Red dot with Brown fence Very Clouse < 0.5 meter Red dot with Green fence
Step 4: Map Calibration. In order to get accurate real time data from the Map, you have to do Map Calibration against real time data. From Home >Management >Map Registration, under this option and click Action Button and select Edit Nodes option and click Calibrate Map button to start. Follow the screen Instruction to complete the process.
Calibrating each Node ID against Tag data one at time by using Double Click to select Node ID and Press 10 second at that point to read data into the Calibrate Map database.
