Read this entire bulletin before you begin the load. You should load this release as soon as possible after you receive it. Software contained in this release The CD for the SDS PRO / Version release contains the following software: Scheduling and Dispatching System Paperless Repair Order CD label The media label should include the following: SDS PRO / Version Load time Up to 4 minutes, depending on your system configuration. 2 Workstation requirements Each workstation on which SDS PRO / Version is loaded must meet the minimum requirements listed below. Application (Product) Name Product Release PC Operating System Windows 2000 PC Operating System Windows XP Note. This CD will NOT load on a Windows 95 or Windows 98 PC. Additional software you need to load iseries Access for Windows (Client Access) should be installed prior to using SDS (PRO). Superseded software You do not need to retain software release media indefinitely. You should retain the release described in this Bulletin and the one immediately preceding this one. All previously loaded media can be discarded. 3 Load Steps To load the SDS PRO / Version 8.2.0, select one of the following procedures for each SDS (PRO) PC desktop. If you are installing SDS (PRO) on a PC that has a previous version of SDS (PRO), go to Loading SDS (PRO) on a PC with an older version installed on page 8. OR If you are installing SDS (PRO) on a PC that does not have any version of SDS (PRO) installed, go to Loading SDS (PRO) on a PC without a previous version installed on page 4. 4 Loading SDS (PRO) on a PC without a previous version installed 1. Log onto the PC with an administrator ID. 2. End all display and printer sessions and all programs currently running on the PC (browser, factory programs, etc). 3. Disable any anti-virus programs running on your PC. 4. Place the SDS PRO / Version CD into the PC s CD-ROM drive. The Setup Schedule Not Found message displays. Figure 1. Setup Schedule Not Found Message 5. Click Yes. A screen displays while system files are copied; no interaction is necessary. 6. If the message shown in Figure 2 below displays, follow steps a through c below. If it does not display continue to step 7 on page 5. Figure 2. Setup Cannot Continue Message a. Click OK. b. A message window displays asking if you want to reboot. Click Yes. The PC reboots. c. 5 7. The Schedule (PRO) Setup Welcome window displays. Figure 3. Schedule Setup Welcome Window 8. Click OK to continue with the installation. The Schedule (PRO) Setup Directory window displays. Figure 4. Schedule (PRO) Setup Directory Window a. Verify the directory path displayed under Directory, is correct. If it is not click Change Directory and select the correct directory. b. 6 9. The Schedule (PRO) Choose Program Group window displays. Figure 5. Schedule (PRO) Choose Program Group Window 10. This window displays the Program Group to which SDS (PRO) will be added. The Program Group displays in your PC s program list. Note. In the Existing Groups box, Schedule should be selected automatically, if it is not type Schedule at the Program Group field. 11. Click Continue. A progress window displays while SDS (PRO) is loading. No interaction is necessary. 12. A Version Conflict window might display. Figure 6. Version Conflict Window 13. The Version Conflict window displays when the SDS (PRO) installation is copying a file which is older than one you already have installed. Click Yes at each version conflict window to keep the newer file. 6 of 11 September 2008 ADP, Inc. B20132

7 14. A progress window displays as files are being copied to your PC and then the Schedule Setup Success window displays. Figure 7. Schedule (PRO) Setup Success Window 15. Click OK. Remove the CD from the CD-ROM drive. You have now completed installing SDS PRO / Version on this PC. 16. Repeat steps 1 through 15 above for each SDS (PRO) PC. 8 Loading SDS (PRO) on a PC with an older version installed 1. Log onto the PC with an administrator ID. 2. End all display and printer sessions and all programs currently running on the PC (browser, factory programs, etc). 3. Disable any anti-virus programs running on your PC. 4. Place the SDS PRO / Version CD into the PC s CD-ROM drive. After several seconds, the Setup Installation Completed window displays. Figure 8. Setup Installation Completed Window 5. Click OK. Remove the CD from the CD-ROM drive. You have now completed installing SDS PRO / Version on this PC. 6. Repeat steps 1 through 5 above for each SDS (PRO) PC. 8 of 11 September 2008 ADP, Inc. B20132

In your browser, type The DealerSuite page displays. 2. At the DealerSuite Login, type your username and password. These are case-sensitive fields: Make sure you use the correct case capitals or lower-case. 3. Select Login. 4. Select Support Solutions under Related Links located on the right side of the page. 5. Next, select Support, then Case Management. The Case Management page displays. 6. Select Support from the menu bar at the top right of the page and select Case Management from the dropdown menu. The Case Management page displays. 7. You can select to either search for an existing case by selecting Search or open a new case by selecting New Case. 8. In order to create a new case, select New Case. Required fields have a red asterisk (*) next to them and they must be filled out in order to create a new case. 10 of 11 September 2008 ADP, Inc. 11 9. Type, verify, or select information at the following fields to create the case: CMF System Name Comment Service Region Phone Number Priority Application Code 10. After all the above fields have been completed, then type the problem in the Problem field. 11. Include the case details in the Details field, within the details field include the following information: Company Number, if applicable Detailed description of the current issue Details of troubleshooting already performed Associated case number, if applicable 12. Select the home center check box if you only want this case to be in your home center. 13. Select the phone call check box if you would like to get updates by phone in addition to updates. 14. To complete the case, select Submit. A case number will be generated. Please record the case number for further inquires. 15. Log off from DealerSuite. B20132 September 2008 ADP, Inc. 11 of 11
