1 Install 3 rd Party Programs for use with E2 Shop System Enterprise Edition Installing ShipRush (optional module) This is a new program that allows importing of tracking numbers for shipments both customer and vendor. It replaces the need for UPS World Ship. ShipRush is a separate optional module. This package would be purchased from Shoptech, but the pricing has not been determined at this time. Please refer to the Appendix section of this document for an example of How to Use ShipRush. Installing ShipRush Vendors There is a separate install exe for each vendor to be used. We will provide these for our users at this point. We will support Endicia, FedEx, Stamps.com, UPS, and USPS. Double click the exe you would like to install and click Run when prompted. You will briefly see the Setup extracting. Revision /19/2013

2 Then the appropriate ShipRush application will begin. This one has a dual function for USPS and Stamps.com, but this exe will only install USPS. Click Next to continue. You must agree to the EULA for ShipRush and then click Next. Revision /19/2013

3 You must then agree to the EULA for the specific vendor you are installing and then click Next. The Shipper Information screen will display for the particular Vendor. In this case for USPS there is no Account Number, but each of the other Vendors requires one and after completing this information, ShipRush will verify the account and address information matches. If it does not, you will get a failure and can then make corrections. Click Next to continue. Revision /19/2013

4 This will Activate the account and then prompt the user for their Printer. Click Next to continue. On the final screen, click Finish and the install will create a desktop shortcut to the Vendor application. Revision /19/2013

5 The individual shortcuts for each vendor will be placed on the Desktop for use. Installing AutoVue AutoVue makes documents and other types of information, including 3D/2D CAD, Graphics, Office and PDF documents, available to all enterprise users, regardless of their technical skills and without requiring costly authoring applications. Whether it is a simple PDF file or a complex CAD drawing, the need to share information is crucial in product and asset-intensive industries. View hundreds of document types. AutoVue allows users to access the full, embedded intelligence in 3D models, 2D drawings & Office files - without the authoring software and without undergoing costly and error-prone conversions. E2SS uses the web based version of AutoVue to allow users the ability to review and print files associated with parts. This version of AutoVue requires Java to be installed on all machines that will be using AutoVue. Java is included in the AutoVue Server installation. It is also installed automatically on the clients when the E2 Client Installer is executed. *Note: If there is any previous version of AutoVue installed, it should be removed completely before proceeding. **Warning: The AutoVue installer may reboot the machine where it is being installed. If the reboot is needed it will occur immediately and without warning. It is recommended that you choose a time for install when a reboot would not interfere with normal production. ***Note: You are not required to install the AutoVue Server on the same computer that is acting as your E2SS Server. However, because of the IIS requirement you may want to consider installing the AutoVue Server on the same computer as the E2SS Server. Revision /19/2013

6 Install AutoVue server (host): 1. Verify that IIS (Internet Information Services) are installed on the AutoVue Server/host computer per the IIS Configuration information at the end of this document. 2. Launch the configuration manager using the desktop shortcut on the E2SS Server. If you are installing the AutoVue Server on a computer other than the E2SS Server, then browse to the E2ShopSystem share on the server. Open the Bin folder and run the E2SS_Configuration_Manager.exe. 3. Select Tools Install 3 rd Party Software. On the Select Database window, select the database for which you want to install AutoVue from the dropdown menu and click OK. 4. On the confirmation screen, click Yes to continue. 5. From the Welcome window, click Next. 6. On the Features window select the AutoVue Server to be installed on local hard drive and click Next. 7. Click Next on the Final Conformation screen. The E2 AutoVue Boot Installer will open. 8. On the E2 AutoVue Boot Installer screen you will need to click the Check For Updates button to retrieve the AutoVue installer file, or any updated AutoVue installer file. When prompted, click Yes to download it now. 9. Once you have checked for updates, and the update has been downloaded, you will receive a prompt to install Autovue. You can choose Yes to do so right away or No to install it at a later time. **If you choose to install it at a later time you can do so by repeating steps 1-6 and then clicking on the Install Autovue button once you are at the E2 Autovue Boot Installer screen. 10. After clicking to install, the AutoVue Welcome screen will open. Click Next. 11. On the Destination Folder screen, you can change the folder where AutoVue will be installed or accept the default location. Click Next to install to the default location or browse to another location and then click Next to continue. 12. On AutoVue Web Service Setup screen you can name the website that will be used for AutoVue. The name will default to AutoVue, but this field is editable and can be changed. Once the website name is set, click Next. Revision /19/2013

7 13. On the AutoVue Windows Service Setup screen, enter the Windows user ID and password that will run the AutoVue Windows service. This account must have administrative rights and the account should be set with a password that doesn t expire. We recommend using the same user ID that you have set to run the E2SS Windows Service. Click Next to continue. 14. Click Next on the Final Confirmation screen. 15. Once the installation has completed, click Finish. The first time AutoVue is invoked by E2SS (on each client computer) Java will initialize and register itself with Windows. It will also prompt the user to run the application. Check the box labeled Always trust content from this publisher and click Run. IIS Configuration Windows Vista and Windows 7 (workstation class computers that will be acting and the E2SS Server) To install IIS or to verify the required IIS settings are enabled on Windows Vista and Windows 7 computers follow these steps: 1. Go to Control Panel. 2. Open Programs and Features. 3. Click on the Turn Windows Features on or off option. 4. On the Windows Features screen, expand Internet Information Services. a. Expand Web Management Tools. b. Select IIS Management Console. c. Expand World Wide Web Services. d. Expand Application Development Features. e. Select all.net Extensibility XX options. f. Select all ASP.NET XX options (this will auto-select other features). Revision /19/2013

8 g. Expand Common HTTP Features. h. Select Static Content. 5. Click OK and wait for the installation to complete. 6. Go to Control Panel Administrative Tools and verify that Internet Information Services or IIS Manager is listed. 7. Open the IIS Manager. 8. Verify that is IIS running. a. On the Connections pane, highlight the pc host name. b. Under the Actions pane, verify that the Start option is greyed out, otherwise, click Start. Windows Server 2008 and 2012 To install IIS or to verify the required IIS settings are enabled on a Windows Server 2008 machine follow these steps: 1. Go to Control Panel. 2. Open Program and Features. 3. Click on the Turn Windows Features on or off option. 4. On the Server Manager screen, highlight Roles (pane on the left side). 5. In the Roles Pane, under the Roles Summary section, click Add Roles. 6. When the Add Roles Wizard comes up you may get a Before You Begin screen, click Next. 7. On the Select Server Roles screen, select Web Server (IIS). 8. On the Add features required for Web Server (IIS)? Windows, click Add Required Features. 9. On the Select Server Roles screen, click Next. 10. On the Web Server (IIS), click Next. Revision /19/2013

9 11. On the Select Role Services screen: NOTE: Some of these services and features could be already selected or automatically added when selecting other services and features. a. Under Common HTTP Features, select Static Content. b. Under Application Development: i. Select all ASP.NET XX options: If prompted, click Add Required Role Services. ii. Select all.net Extensibility XX options: If prompted, click Add Required Features. c. Under Management Tools, select IIS Management Console. 12. On the Select Role Services screen, click Next. 13. On the Confirm Installation Selections screen, click Install. 14. Wait for the installation process to complete. Once completed, click Close to close the Add Roles Wizard. 15. Go to Control Panel Administrative Tools and verify that Internet Information Services or IIS Manager is listed. 16. Open the IIS Manager. 9. Verify that is IIS running. a. On the Connections pane, highlight the pc host name. b. Under the Actions pane, verify that the Start option is greyed out, otherwise, click Start.
