2 Assessment Environment - Overview Step 1 You will take the assessment from your desk. Venue mailer will have all the details that you need it for assessment Login Link, Credentials, FAQ document and the guidelines document. Please login into assessment Virtual Machine as per guidelines

3 Assessment Details Log in to the assessment portal using the below URL: Use your Cognizant ID and network password to logon Select the assessment which is enrolled on today s date and click on Attend Quiz Proctors will share you the quiz password, to attempt the quiz The total duration of the exam is 2.5 hours. There is no restriction between the time slots available for MCQ and Case study sections. Associates can manage the total available duration (2hrs) per their convenience and need.

5 Exam Guidelines Choose the folder DotNetcaAssessment from desktop as development environment. Please make sure that you store all your artifacts under this parent folder Download the zip file which contains the case study document and the template from the assessment url. Save the downloaded zip file in Desktop - DotNetcaAssessment folder Read the instructions by clicking on the Instructions link available in the assessment screen. Extract the files from the zip folder. Right click the zip file Extract to here. Open the Template folder available inside the downloaded zip file. Open the.sln file available inside the template folder. Start coding in the solution file. Do not modify the existing class names, variable names and method signatures.

Associates can refer to local msdn help for any API reference. 1.Click on Help in Microsoft visual studio IDE. 2.Click on View Help 3.Click on No. 4.Local help file window will be opened If the help window is not opened, 1.Click on Help in Microsoft Visual Studio IDE again 2.Click on Manage Help Settings 3.Select Use Local help check box 4.Click on Exit Again Click on Help menu in IDE Click on View Help Local help file window will be opened

7 Exam Guidelines Contd. On completion of the hands on, upload the code back to the assessment server in format specified for each assessment. If the time allotted is expired, your solution file will not be considered for evaluation. The upload feature will be present in the same screen where the zip file is downloaded. After uploading the code, the associate should SUBMIT the quiz in Moodle page. On Submission of the assessment, the associate will receive the message Your code has been saved successfully. Your evaluation will be done and the score will be updated in ELM in a few days LOG OFF after the assessment. Your assessment will be considered complete only if you logoff your machine.

8 Exam Guidelines Contd. Please Log off the system once you upload the zip file. It is very important that the associate logs off. Once log offed all the files saved in the D:\Dotnetcaassessment folder will be deleted. Associate should be sure that they have to upload the source files in zip file back to the assessment server before they log off.

9 Don ts. Do not click on Submit before uploading your solution to assessment portal. If you fail to upload your case study solution file, you will not be awarded any marks in the Skill assessment Do not click on Home or any other link while you are progressing with the exam Do not change the context root / package / class / method names or method signatures / access specifiers / data types / input or output variables / exceptions / Value Objects in the project skeleton Do not throw any exceptions from the method (other than what is provided)
