3 Who is watching what I do on my device? Nothing done on districtissued devices is private. District staff may, at any point, confiscate and search the contents of any district-issued electronic device.
4 How to keep my device safe? Keep Surface 3 in the bag when not in use Only keep the following items in the bag: Surface 3 Surface 3 Pen (stylus) Earbuds Flash drive Screen Cleaner Agenda Portable Battery Charger Add Image of BAG NOTE: Absolutely NO liquids in the bag. Pen must remain in holder when not in use. Like the agenda, you will be responsible for replacing a lost or damaged bag.
5 How do I keep my device clean? To Clean Your Touchscreen To clean the screen use a dry microfiber cloth (one will be provided by the school) Never use window cleaners, household chemicals or cleaners, ammonia, alcohol or alcohol-based products, or other abrasives to clean your Surface.
6 How to carry my device? Transitioning (between classesin hall): Cover closed Transitioning (in the classroom): Cover closed Carry with two hands Device stored in Bag

8 How to use my device in school? When the Surface is not in use: cover closed and lying flat When the Surface is in use: Wait for teacher instruction Students should only use websites and apps that are part of the lesson / stay on task NO photos /videos /recording without permission from teacher When taking photos or video, make sure you have permission from all people who may be in the picture or video Surface 3 should always be on top of desk not in student lap
9 Where is my device at lunchtime? Lunch: Surface will be securely locked in your teacher s classroom. You cannot bring your Surface to lunch/break..
10 Where is my device during drills? Drills: Surface will be securely left in your teacher s classroom. Do not bring your Surface outside or to drill location.
11 When can I use my device? School Bus & Activity Bus Surface 3 should NOT be used on the bus
12 Who is watching what I do on my device? Nothing done on districtissued devices is private. District staff may, at any point, confiscate and search the contents of any district-issued electronic device.
13 How to manage charging my device? Take your device home every night! The Surface 3 should be charged completely, every night at home. Students should NOT bring charger to school. Keep your charger at home at all times.
14 How to take care of my device? Surface 3 must always be KEPT in the protective case. Surface 3 must remain free of any writing, drawing, stickers, or labels. Surface 3 screens can be damaged by pressure - do not lean on it, do not pile books or place items on top of the Surface 3 while it is on your desk. All labels placed on surface by Haynes Bridge and/or Fulton County shall not be removed or tampered with Report ANY inappropriate use of technology on the Surface 3 to an adult immediately.
15 How to protect my device? Surface 3 should never be left in a visible location in a car, even if the car is locked. Surface 3 should not be exposed to extreme highs or lows of temperatures. Bring the device inside overnight. Surface 3 must never be left in an unlocked room. Do not drop the Surface 3, get it wet, leave it outside the classroom, or use it with food or drink nearby.
16 WoopS! What do I do? In case of damage report it to the media center immediately If your Surface 3 is lost or stolen, report it to the media center immediately *It is possible the device may be found or fixed easily if reported right away*
