3 1 Bluetooth for Windows Me for Car-O-Soft Vision NOTE: Do not connect the device to your PC before the installation tells you to. X 1.1 Installation Insert the TDK software CD USB Adaptor & PC Card 1. From the menu select Install Bluetooth Software Follow the instructions on the screen 3. Click Yes to restart your PC When the installation is finished you will see this dialog that prompt you to insert the TDK Bluetooth device. 4 2 TDK Bluetooth for Win Me - ENG - rev.0,

4 5. After you have inserted the device this dialog will appear. Close the dialog by clicking on the Close button. 5 IMPORTANT: When installation of TDK Bluetooth is done, you need to modify the configuration for Bluetooth and do a set up for Car-O-Liner software. Follow the instructions in 1.2 Modifying configuration and Configure Car-O-Soft 2000/Vision to communicate with Bluetooth. TDK Bluetooth for Win Me - ENG - rev.0,

5 1.2 Modify configuration On your computer you should now have My bluetooth places icon on the desktop. 1. Double click on the icon. 2. The following dialog will appear. Use the right mouse button and click on the icon My Device and select properties Bluetooth Configuration 2 NOTE: In this dialog you find the COM port information. Please make a note of this for later use In the Bluetooth Configuration dialog, select the tab Local Services. 4. In this tab you will find the Bluetooth Serial Port, select that row. 5. 6 1.2.2 Bluetooth Properties 6 6. Uncheck the option Secure Connection. 7. Click the OK button. 7 Back to the Bluetooth Configuration dialog: 8 8. Select the tab Client Applications. 9. 7 Back to the Bluetooth Properties dialog: 11. Uncheck the option Secure Connection 12. Click the OK button Back to the Bluetooth Configuration dialog: 13. 8 1.3 Configure Car-O-Soft 2000 to communicate with Bluetooth IMPORTANT! Make sure that the computer is up and running before and the Bluetooth adapter are connected before starting the measuring slide. (Restart the measuring slide if necessary). 1. Start Car-O-Soft Go into the Setup by clicking on buttons <S> <C>. 3. Check the Bluetooth option. NOTE: The Com. port should have the same number as the Bluetooth Serial Port under Local Services in Bluetooth Configuration dialog. 9 1.4 Configure Car-O-Soft Vision to communicate with Bluetooth IMPORTANT! Make sure that the computer is up and running before and the Bluetooth adapter are connected before starting the measuring slide. (Restart the measuring slide if necessary). NOTE: You will find Car-O-Soft Vision Diagnose under START>Program>Car-O-Liner> Utilities 1. Start Car-O-Soft Vision Diagnose 2.
