1 QUARTERLY COMPLIANCE REPORT (JANUARY 2017) OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON COMPANY (U 338-E) REGARDING STATUS OF TRANSMISSION PROJECTS AND GENERATION INTERCONNECTION PROJECTS Pursuant to Commission Decision ( D. ) , SCE hereby provides this quarterly report on the status of transmission and generation interconnection projects. Relevant information on the construction status, approval status and the purpose of the project (in the form requested by Energy Division) is provided in the attached tables. Modifications from the previous report are highlighted in gray. Cancelled projects are highlighted in green and new projects are highlighted in yellow. Project cost information has already been provided to the Energy Division under Public Utilities Code Section 583 and is therefore not included in the table. Updates and Modifications to Report SCE has made the following updates and modifications from the October 2016 Quarterly Report: OVERALL CHANGES New projects submitted into the 1 st Quarter 2017 filing: No new projects submitted this quarter. 2 PIN 6439: PIN7553: Project No. 59 North of Magunden Redundant BCT Upgrade Planned In-Service Date: 3/31/2017 Project No. 64 Lugo Sub Install new 500kV CBs for AA Banks Notes: Issue ATP 2017 Project No. 82 Mesa 500 kv Substation Planned In-Service Date: 6/1/2021 Project Estimated Cost Project No. 86 Colorado River 230kV Substation - #2 AA Bank and Modification to the Colorado River Corridor RAS Planned In-Service Date: 12/1/2019 Project No. 105 New SCE-Owned Eldorado 220 kv Switchyard and 500/220 kv AA Transformer Bank Planned In-Service Date: 07/31/2016 Project No. 113 Victor Loop-in Project Approval Status CPUC: Exempt Project No. 114 Eldorado-Lugo-Mohave Upgrade Project Name: Eldorado-Lugo-Mohave Upgrade (Added Upgrade to title) Project Description: This project involves the upgrade of the existing 500 kv Series Capacitors at Eldorado and Lugo on the Eldorado-Lugo 500 kv T/L to 3,300A continuous rating, as well as a new Series Capacitor rated at 3,300A in the vicinity of Pisgah Substation (midline capacitor). The project will also involve the upgrade of the existing 500 kv Series Capacitors at Lugo and Mohave on the Lugo-Mohave 500 kv T/L to 3,300A continuous rating as well as a new Series Capacitor rated 3,300A in the vicinity of Pisgah Substation (midline capacitor). In addition, the existing line termination positions at Eldorado, Lugo, and Mohave substations will be upgraded with higher rated equipment (circuit breakers, disconnects, and associated terminal equipment). The objective of this project is to increase deliverability of generation from the Eldorado area into the LA Basin by increasing the compensation level of the 500 kv transmission lines from 35% to 70%. This project was approved as part of the and CAISO Transmission Plan. 2

3 Project No. 115 Lugo-Mohave Series Capacitor Upgrade Project Status: Cancelled-Transferred as part of work associated with PIN Project No. 117 Lugo -Victorville RAS Project Name: Lugo -Victorville RAS (Added RAS to title) Purpose & Benefit: To prevent overloads on the jointly owned Lugo-Victorville 500 kv T/L Project No. 119 Santiago Synchronous Condenser Planned In-Service Date: 6/1/2018 Project No. 120 Eldorado-Mohave & Eldorado-Moenkopi 500 kv Line Position Swap Purpose & Benefit: Project is to remediate thermal overloads on the Lugo-Victorville 500kV T/L caused by adjacent transmission circuit contingency. This project would eliminate the WECC Category C5 adjacent circuit transmission corridor contingency of the Eldorado-Lugo and Eldorado-Mohave 500kV T/Ls. Project No. 123 Eagle Mountain Reactor Project Location: Eagle Mountain 220/161 kv Generation Interconnection Projects Updated Item to reflect that the project is operational and the associated interconnection facilities and network upgrades are in service. This project will be removed from the report during the 2nd Quarter 2017 update. Updated Item to reflect that the project is operational and the associated interconnection facilities and network upgrades are in service. This project will be removed from the report during the 2nd Quarter 2017 update. Updated Item to reflect that the project is operational and the associated SCE affected system facilities are in service. This project will be removed from the report during the 2nd Quarter 2017 update. Updated Item to reflect the project has a later Planned In-Service Date.
