1 To Log in: 1. Go to the website: 2. Log in with your username and password. 3. Click on the link EPR Dashboard / Citrix Applications / Radiology PACS/ MUSE 4. Click on the EPR Dashboard icon. 5. Log in to the EPR Dashboard with the same username and password Version Updated 1/28/2011 Page 1

2 6. Click on the Soarian icon on the left toolbar. 7. Check the box and acknowledge the license agreement. 8. Click the Close button on the message, There are no patients in your census. 9. 3 Searching for Patients 1. Click on the Search button on the top of the Soarian For searching by name: 2. Type in the patients last name and first name. 3. Click search 4. Highlight the patient by clicking on the patient s name. 5. Once the patient is highlighted, click the small arrow next to Patient Record at the bottom of the 6. Select Clinical Summary For searching by number: 1. Select the By ID tab 2. Select ID type MPI# (The MPI number is the same as the Medical Record Number) 3. Type in the MR# in the ID field; then click Search. 4. Highlight the patient by clicking on the patient s name. 5. Once the patient is highlighted, click the small arrow next to Patient Record at the bottom of the 6. Select Clinical Summary NOTE: If a patient is not active (not presently in the hospital), you may be prompted for a comment and password in order to access the patient record. 1. Comment: enter a reason; such as follow-up 2. Password: will always be wakemed1 After entering the comment and password, re-select the patient and then CLICK the INVERTED TRIANGLE at the bottom of the page next to the patient record and choose Patient record or clinical summary. 4 To view patient s labs, x-rays, and reports: To view Radiology Reports: 1. On the right side of the screen under Results, click the radiology tab. 2. Under the type of test click the icon. (This will open the dictated report.) 3. If you would like to view the image from the PACS system click the View Image button at the bottom of the dictated report. This will launch the Amicas Viewer. To view Emergency Department Reports: 1. In the center of the screen under Documents, look under ED Visit click on the link. (This will open the PDF document that contains the entire ED report for that visit.) Version Updated 1/28/2011 Page 4

5 To view Rehab Visits: 1. In the center of the screen under Documents, look under Rehab Visit click on the link. (This will open the PDF document that contains the entire Rehab report for that patient.) When the Charting report opens: Click on the Bookmark Icon on the left. Then Select which of the assessments that you wish to view. Warning: This can be a very large document with many pages. Icon Key Facesheet: Contains Demographic information about the patient and the most current visit Patient Record: Allows user to see results and documents pertaining to the patient Clinical Summary: Allows user to see summary of results and documents pertaining to the patient Patient Visit: Allows user to view visit-specific information for any visit within Soarian (2004 to present) The green square icon indicates there are new results* available for this patient. This will display in both the open and closed census view. If this square is red, this indicates there are new results in the critical range. *New results = last 24 hours Indicates outpatient/ observation status Refresh button: refreshes the screen with newly selected data.
