2 Remark: - Manufacturing Date codes: a) For combined lots with the same date code, only one date code will be displayed. Example: date code of two combined lots 1028 and 1028 should be in form 1028 (form is not acceptable) b) For combined lots with different date codes, older date code will be printed first. Example: date code of two combined lots 1029 and 1028 should be in form Serial Number: a) This a unique number for every label being printed (even reprints). Alphanumeric characters can be used for this field. b) The sequence to be followed is: 00001, 00002,.., 00009, 0000A, 0000B,.., 0000Z, 00010, 00011,.., 00019, 0001Z,

4 Question: How will you get the information on when to print the logos on the label? Answer: Go to Exman folder. See procedure below on how to populate the document: 2.1 Go to Click on MyON. Enter your username and password. 2.3 Click on the MBOI folder under Document Exchange. 2.4 Open MPN attribute file. 2.5 Below is a sample of Open MPN attribute file. 7 Question referring to 1 on labels above: Is ON Semiconductor concerned about how Hours (as on the AS IS label) or HOURS (as on TO BE label) will be shown on the label? Answer: Yes, use HOURS to enhance readability. Question referring to 2 on label above : How do we know when we need to show these logo s on label for the specific incoming lot? Will any document of the specific lot support it? Answer: Yes, it s in your Exman folder. See procedure above on how to access the folder. Question referring to 3 on label above: How do we distinguish when we should show the e or 50 logo on label? Answer: Use e printed inside the recycle symbol for China-RoHS when device is lead-free and the PACKAGES-19(PBF-DIE-ATTACH) is N (no leaded die attached). Use 50 printed inside the recycle symbol for China-RoHS when device is leaded or when device is lead-free and the PACKAGES-19 (PBF-DIE- ATTACH) = Y (with leaded die attached).

8 Question referring to 1 on label above: What is the definition for quantity value? Answer: There is no specific definition. The sample label was just padded with XX to maximize the label. It will continue to contain space if the quantity is less than 6. Question referring to 2 on label above: What is the definition for assembly in country? Answer: There is no definition. The sample was just padded with XXXX to maximize the label. It will continue to contain space if the country name is less than 20. Question: What will drive the different product labels shown above? Answer: Both labels are the same format and should be used for all devices, the only difference between the two is how the label appears when the data is max ed out.

9 Question referring to 1 on label above: Is the REF field a mandatory item on label? Answer: No, the REF field is not mandatory and is a free-format field that is available for our internal sites to use. Question referring to 2 on label above: How is the 2-digit Manufacturing BOM Location code defined? Answer: The BOM location code is the current 2-digit location code value printed inside a pair of parentheses after the assembly country. We have just added the barcoded value in a separate field.

10 Question: What changes were applied to environmental logos? Answer: Location of environmental logos was changed from right-mid part to bottom of the label. Dimension of some of the logos was decreased and new logos like UL and China RoHS logo were added. Question: What changes were applied to the Country of Origin fields? Answer: Custom Source (CS) and Country of Assembly (ASSY IN) data were moved to mid-part of the label. Question: Did Moisture Sensitivity Level (MSL) data change? Answer: There is no change in data. Changes are in location of the data which are now in the upper right position on the label, square box was created for consolidation of MSL data, upper case is used for MSL data and word Sealed was extended to SEALED DATE. Question: What is the required date format for SEALED DATE? Answer: SEALED DATE format should be DDMONYY. Example: 25AUG11.
