These tools are called gadgets, and the combination of gadgets that you select and save is called your perspective. After you select and save your perspective, it will display each time that you log in. You can temporarily add and remove gadgets and columns as you work then click Reset Perspective to return to your last-saved view. 2 Create a Perspective Capacity Management 1 Click Personalization, then Manage Perspectives. Select My Perspective Configuration. 2 In the Navigation Bar Configuration window, click to select Custodial Services/EVS from the Available Perspectives list, then click the arrow to move it to the My Perspectives list. 2

3 3 With your role in the My Perspectives list, click the *TO SETUP line and click the double-arrow to move it back to the Available Perspectives list. 4 Click Save and Exit to open the Capacity Management workspace, populated with the gadgets associated with the perspective you selected (for example, Custodial Services/EVS). Continue to Add Gadgets to Your Perspective. 3

4 Add Gadgets to Your Perspective Capacity Management 1 Click Personalization, then My Gadgets. Click to check the first gadget you want to add; in this case, Discharge List. Note that Custodial List and Custodian Status are already checked in the *Custodial Services/EVS perspective. 2 Continue to select gadgets, one by one, as needed. The gadgets will display as tabs in Capacity Management. Recommended gadgets to select Bed Board (may be used by managers) Custodial Services List Custodian Status Discharge List Transfer List 3 Click Save to save the selected gadgets to the current perspective. 4 If prompted for a perspective name, enter your role name (for example, EVS Lead) and Save. 4

5 Re-Arrange Tabs in the Capacity Management Workspace (e.g. Split Windows) To move a tab in the workspace, click the tab, hold down the mouse button and drag it to the new position. You can click Reset Perspective at any time to return to the previously saved view. For example, you can drag and drop a tab currently at the bottom of the workspace to the top, or from the right hand position to the lefthand position. You can view all tabs in a single pane, or split the workspace into two panes. To split the workspace into two panes, click the tab that you want in the top pane and drag it up until you see a black arrow, then drop the tab. In this example, the Custodial Services List tab is moved to the top pane, leaving Custodian Status and Discharge List in the bottom pane. Remember to click Save or Reset Perspective. Set Up Columns on Each Tab (Gadget) 1 To configure the columns that display in your tabs, click in each tab and select Configure List Columns. 2 In the Configure List Columns list, click to check and add the columns in the selected tab, then click Close. For Discharge List column selection, click to check the Name and Comment items. For Transfer List column selection, click to check the Admitting Physician item. 5

6 For Custodian Status column selection, these items are not used - click to un-check them: Idle Time (minutes) Zone Type Completed Jobs Average Turnaround Time Avg/Hr Discharge Cleans Avg/Hr(Room Cleans) Avg/Hr (AdHoc Cleans) Avg Response Time Custodial Hours Delayed (Before Start) Delayed (After Start) 3 Drag and drop the columns to arrange them (left to right) in the tab, as shown in these lists, then click Save Discharge List Name Current Location Status Comment Encounter Milestones Request Time Start Time Discharge To Location MRN FIN to save the view to your current perspective. Transfer List Name Current Location Destination Comment Patient Attributes Age Gender Patient Type Admitting Physician Hospital Service Isolation Request Time Start Time MRN FIN Encounter Milestones Custodian Status Status Provider Name Time (Status) Duration (Status) Reason (Unavailable) Current State Assigned Zones Discharge Cleans Room Cleans AdHoc Cleans Break Lunch Save and Reset Perspectives As you work in Capacity Management, you can change your perspective at any time. Click Reset Perspective to return to the lastsaved view. Custodial Services List Location Status (Bed) Priority Type Status Comment Custodian Request Time Scheduled Time Start Time Isolation Delay Reason (Before) Delay Reason (After) Requester Location Milestones Click Save to save the current view to the current perspective. 6

7 Set Up Your Staff on the Custodian Status Tab When you open the Custodian Status tab, this filter displays only the staff that you select. 1 Open the Custodian Status tab, click the, then Filter/Sort Properties. 2 Click the Provider Name column header. A red Filter arrow is displayed. Click the Provider Name header again to display the full unfiltered list. 3 Click to uncheck the (All) option. This removes the checkmark from everyone on the list. 4 Click to check the names of the staff you are working with, then click OK. The staff members that you selected are displayed, and the Filter Provider Name column header. icon is next to the 5 Click Save to save the current view to the current perspective. 7

8 Set Up Available Staff at the Top on the Custodian Status Tab When you open the Custodian Status tab, this filter displays all Available staff at the top of the list. 6 Open the Custodian Status tab, click the, then Filter/Sort Properties. 7 Click the Status header. 8 Click the Ascending button. Statuses now sort with available staff at the top 9 Click Save to save the current view to the current perspective. 8
