Yu cannt upgrade a chassis t this release if ne f these mdules is in the chassis. If yu insert ne f these mdules int a chassis that has already been bted with this release, the mdule will nt bt and it will nt appear in the GUI. The status LED will illuminate but it will be slid amber indicating the mdule is nt bted. February

5 Transceiver Supprt Spirent has a rigrus prcess fr selecting and qualifying transceivers t perate with its test mdules. This ensures the highest quality test results and seamless peratin fr end users. See the Supprted Transceiver dcument included with this release, r cntact Spirent Supprt Services fr the list f qualified transceivers. The use f unqualified transceivers may cause intermittent link issues, FCS errrs, drpped packets, autnegtiatin issues, and ther Layer 1 prblems. Even rebranded transceivers based n thse included in Spirent s supprted list may nt be fully cmpatible. In cases where Spirent qualified transceivers are nt used, Spirent Supprt Services will trublesht thse situatins where a valid supprt cntract is in place. Hwever, in situatins where cmpatibility with unqualified transceivers is suspected, Spirent Supprt Services may ask the custmer t replace them with transceivers n ur fficial list. February

7 Operating System Requirements Any f Windws perating system variants listed in the table belw can be used with the Spirent TestCenter GUI and API. The Linux/UNIX perating systems in the table belw can be used with autmatin nly. Fr autmatin users, it is necessary t wrk with a cmbinatin f perating systems and scripting languages. The table belw shw Spirent supprtability matrix. Windws perating systems are supprted fr the fllwing languages: English, French, German, Japanese, Krean, Chinese (traditinal and simplified), and Italian. Discntinuance Ntificatin FreeBSD At the end f 2017, Spirent will discntinue autmatin supprt fr FreeBSD n all Spirent TestCenter sftware and hardware prducts.
