3 Install TraxSolutions Mobile Edition Before being able to use the Socket handheld device, TraxSolutions Mobile Edition must be installed. Please access the following link for installation instructions: XP computers: Vista or Windows 7 computers: NOTE: nfocus Client Support will perform the installation of the handheld device software during the Socket training. TraxSolutions Mobile Edition Scanning Instructions If the main TraxSolutions Mobile Edition screen does not appear when the Socket device is turned on, then go to Start Programs TraxSolutions Mobile Edition. The Socket device will automatically synchronize with your computer when it is placed in the cradle. Data must be downloaded to Trax Attendance Manager to appear on the Socket scanner and uploaded from Trax Attendance Manager to appear on reports from your website. Select the Home button at any time to access the main screen. Configure Activity and Time Settings 1. Select Settings from the main screen 2. 5 8. Select Date & Time to select or change scan times 9. Choose Record scans the date they occur to scan for the current date and time 10. Or choose Record scans using the date below and choose scan times to scan for previous dates 11. Select Save when finished (NOTE: We recommend that out scans are included.) 12. Select Synchronization Settings to choose if front door scans are created when scanning for activities

Scan IDs 1. Select Scans from the main screen 2. Select Tap here to scan to activate the laser to scan IDs (NOTE: Screen must be tapped for each ID.)
