1 IntraVet New Features Guide communication organization practice management clinical services

2 IntraVet New Features IntraVet 4.7 includes greater integration with epethealth and an upgrade to XCharge for practices utilizing this as their credit card processing to be fully compatible with the EMV requirements for using next generation fraud-reducing, chip-based credit cards. Please review the following guide to familiarize yourself with these new features prior to installing. epethealth Integration epethealth has now been integrated throughout various areas of the software. Main Toolbar An epethealth icon has been added to the main toolbar. If you are logged in, the epethealth Provider Portal home page will open in your web browser when you click on the epethealth icon on the main toolbar. Appointment Calendar An epethealth icon has been added to the Appointment Calendar. If you are logged in, the epethealth Appointment Reminder Setup page will open in your web browser when you click on the epethealth icon within the Appointment Calendar. 2 3

3 Visit Form An epethealth icon has been added to the Visit form. Due Reminder Search An epethealth icon has been added to the Due Reminder Search window. If you are logged in, the epethealth Client Education Articles page will open in your web browser when you click on the epethealth icon on the Visit form. Documents An epethealth icon has been added to the Documents window. If you are logged in, the epethealth Client Education Articles page will open in your web browser when you click on the epethealth icon in the Documents window. Reports An epethealth Reports option has been added to the Reports dropdown menu. Click on the epethealth button at the bottom of the Due Reminder Search window. Choose & Text Reminders to launch the epethealth Health Service Reminders / Text setup page. Choose Postal Reminders to launch the epethealth Health Service Reminders Postal setup page. If you are logged in, the epethealth Reports page will open in your web browser when you click on Reports in the top menu bar and click epethealth Reports. 4 5

4 Recall Generator Search An epethealth icon has been added to the Recall Generator Search window. XCharge Credit Card Processing An updated XCharge integration has been added for credit card payment processing. This version of XCharge, a product of OpenEdge, is fully compatible with the EMV requirements for using next generation fraud-reducing, chip-based credit cards. Click on the epethealth icon in the Recall Generator Search window. If you are logged in, the epethealth Newsletter setup page will open in your web browser. New Patient Search An epethealth icon has been added to the New Patient Search window. Windows XP and Server 2003 R2 and below are not compliant with PCI. You must update the operating system to Windows 7 (or higher) or Server 2008 (or higher) for any machines used to process credit cards; otherwise the XCharge server will need to be installed on a machine with a supported operating system. The XCharge upgrade will not install on unsupported operating systems. To setup XCharge, go to Setup Program General Branch Setup, choose the branch and select Edit. Click Merchant Services on the left to bring up the Merchant Service Setup window. You will need to add your practice s XCharge User Name, Password and Merchant Number. Click on the epethealth icon in the New Patient Search window. If you are logged in, the epethealth Birthday Cards setup page will open in your web browser. 6 7

5 Using XCharge To add a swiped or dipped card payment using XCharge: 5. Click Add Payment. 6. Click on either Print / Save or Save. 7. Manually key in the card number and other required fields. 8. Click Process. To add a Non-Merchant card payment using XpressLink: 1. Change the payment Type to Card. 2. Enter a dollar amount. 3. Set the Card Type by clicking on either Credit or Debit. 4. Click on the dropdown arrow next to Card Type to display card names. Double-click on a card name. 5. Click Add Payment. 6. Click on either Print / Save or Save. 7. Swipe the card. 8. Payment should process automatically after swiping. To add a keyed card payment using XpressLink: 1. Change the payment Type to Card. 2. Enter a dollar amount. 3. Set the Card Type by clicking Non-Merchant. 4. Click on the dropdown arrow next to Card Type to display card names. Double-click on a card name. 5. Click Add Payment. 6. Click Yes on the Continue? prompt. 7. Click on either Print / Save or Save. 1. Change the payment Type to Card. 2. Enter a dollar amount. 3. Set the Card Type by clicking on either Credit or Debit. 4. Click on the dropdown arrow next to Card Type to display card names. Double-click on a card name. 8 9
