2 Could I study for free? Some courses receive funding from the Government. Course tuition for L fee code courses (see website for fee code of each course) could be FREE if: You were aged under 19 on 31st August You are aged between 19 and 23 at the start of the course and are studying an eligible first full Level 2 or Level 3 qualification. You are aged between 19 and 23 at the start of the course and are studying an Entry or Level 1 course (excluding basic skills) in order to progress to a full Level 2. The course is Maths or English, for those without a GCSE grade C (new grade 4) or above. You are unemployed* and in receipt of: - Jobseeker s Allowance (JSA) or; - Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) in the Work- Related Activity Group (WRAG) or; - Universal Credit because you are unemployed, and are mandated (required) to undertake skills training, or; - Other state benefits and believe skills training will allow you to enter employment (at the College s discretion). *Unemployed includes anyone earning less than 330 per month or 16 times the national minimum wage per week. Evidence to demonstrate this satisfactorily will be 2 months or 6 weeks wage slips. Not eligible for FREE tuition? No problem!
