We guarantee highest network availability and maximum bandwidth for voice, data and video transmission in copper and fiber optic transmission systems. The modular concept ensures flexibility for future expansions. The installation can always be upgraded according on requirements, e.g. for boosting the level of security or protection against environmental factors. We provide comprehensive solutions for copper and fiber optic networks as a one-stop supplier. On the basis of individual customer consulting, products and systems are developed into custom-tailored solutions for inside and outside plant applications. These cabling solutions combine all the different applications of telephony, data, TV, radio etc. in one universal infrastructure with a distribution centre. Expansions for a system upgrade can be carried out fast and easily. Integrated cable guiding allows a neat cable and jumper management. 67 VS Compact ADSL Splitter Product Overview General information The R&M splitter is a 4-port ADSL/POTS splitter card designed to maximize the separation of voice and ADSL DataStream over copper transmission lines. Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) transmission technology operates over existing copper wires that connect home and businesses to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). ADSL is a very viable technology to support high-speed access, enabling a maximum downstream rate of 9 Mbps and a maximum upstream rate of 640 kbps. Traditional voice services can coexist with ADSL without interruption through POTS low pass filters. Blocking capacitors as defined in ETSI v1.1.1 ( ) option B are inserted in the Line to ADSL path. The additional matching ADSL high pass filter is usually not included in the design of the splitter and installed on the corresponding ADSL-modem board. The R&M splitter integrates a low pass filter which prevents the high frequency energy from reaching the POTS device and provides isolation from impedance effects of the POTS device on ADSL. In addition, this filter will also attenuate any wideband impulse noise generated by the POTS device due to the interruption of Line current (e.g. pulse dialling or on hook/off hook transition).
