3 1-2. Card PC Board Assembly m. Take care not to hurt your hands or other by inner parts, during the removal and installation.. Don t tamper with the unspecified screws and harnesses.. Take care not to drop the screws. Tool. Magnetized driver Removal 1. Open the LCD panel. 2. Loosen the coin screw (with stopper), then remove the connector cover assembly. 3. 4 4. Open the clamper. 5. Disconnect the USB cable. USB cable Clamper 6. Remove the bridge connector. n When disconnecting the USB cable and bridge connector, take care not to damage the flexible flat cable connected to the touch panel. 7. Remove the screw (PWH3 x 5). 5 8. Remove the card PC board assembly in the direction of the arrow. Card PC board assembly Installation 1. Insert the card PC board assembly. Card PC board assembly 2. Attach the bridge connector. m. When attaching the bridge connector, attach the bridge connector securely with both hands.. If the card PC board assembly is attached first (step 3), it becomes difficult to attach the bridge connector. 3. Attach the card PC board assembly using the screw. 6 4. Connect the USB cable. n When connecting the USB cable, take care not to damage the flexible flat cable connected to the touch panel. USB cable Clamper 5. 7 6. Attach the top cover assembly using the two stepped screws. 7. Attach the connector cover assembly, then tighten the coin screw (with stopper). 8 Removal 1. Open the LCD panel. 2. Loosen the coin screw (with stopper), then remove the connector cover assembly. 3. Remove the two stepped screws, then remove the top cover assembly in the direction of the arrow. Connector cover assembly Stepped screws Top cover assembly Coin screw (with stopper) LCD panel 4. Open the clamper. 5. Disconnect the three harnesses from the connectors (CN4, CN7 and CN8) on the IF-1095 board. n When disconnecting the harness from connector (CN4), disconnect the harness while releasing the hook on the lower side of the connector. 6. Disconnect the USB cable from the connector (CN5) on the IF-1095 board. 7. Disconnect the harness from the connector A on the disc drive assembly. 9 8. Remove the two screws, then remove the top shield assembly. BVTT 3 x 6 Top shield assembly 9. Remove the four screws. 10. Hold the portions A of the disc drive assembly with both hands, then draw it in the direction of the arrow. n When drawing the disc drive assembly, take care not to contact the disc drive assembly with the inner projection of the unit. Projection PWH3 x 5 Portions A 11. Remove the two screws and disconnect the connector B on the disc drive assembly from the connector (CN6) on the IF-1095 board, then remove the IF-1095 board. 10 12. Remove the two screws, then remove the disk bracket (L). 13. Remove the two screws, then remove the disk bracket (R). Insert the pin into the hole, then draw the disc tray. Hole Label side Pin Disc tray Disc tray 1-9

11 3. Remove the two hooks on the front mask in the direction of the arrow A. 4. Remove the front mask in the direction of the arrow B. A mask Hook Disc tray Hook mask B Hook Disc tray 5. Insert the portions A of the front mask in meshing engagement with the grooves on the disc tray. 6. Attach the front mask in the direction of the arrow. n Check that the front mask is securely attached with the two hooks. Hook Disc tray mask B Hook Groove Disc tray Portion A mask 1-10

12 7. Slide the disc tray into the disc drive. Disc tray Installation 1. Attach the disk bracket (R) using the two screws. 2. Attach the disk bracket (L) using the two screws. PWH 3 x 5 Disk bracket (R) Disk bracket (L) PWH 3 x 5 3. Connect the connector (CN6) on the IF-1095 board to the connector B on the disc drive assembly securely. 4. 14 7. Attach the top shield assembly using the two screws. m. When attaching the top shield assembly, insert the portions A under the terminal chassis (bottom).. Connect the harness to the connector A on the disc drive assembly. 9. Connect the USB cable to the connector (CN5) on the IF-1095 board. 10. Connect the three harnesses to the connector (CN4, CN7 and CN8) on the IF-1095 board. n Check that the connectors are securely connected.
