1 Content-Based Assessments GO! Fix It Project 2H Social Sciences For Project 2H, you will need the following file: a02h_social_sciences Lastname_Firstname_2H_Social_Sciences 2a ccess In this project, you will make corrections to the design of several queries in a database used by the dean of the Social Sciences Division. Start Access, navigate to your student data files, open a02h_social_sciences, and then save the database in your Access Chapter 2 folder as Lastname_Firstname_2H_Social_Sciences To complete this project, you should know: A one-to-many relationship with cascade options should be created between the two tables in the database, and then a relationship report should be created and saved as Lastname Firstname 2H Relationships One faculty member can teach many courses. Add Lastname Firstname to the beginning of every query name do not rename the tables. Several queries do not accurately reflect the result implied by the query name. Open each query, examine the results, examine the design, and then, if necessary, correct the design. (Hint: Review the data stored in the fields in the data source underlying table to assist you in determining the correct criteria.) Be sure that the data and field names are not truncated in the query results; apply Best Fit as needed. For the parameter query, find the faculty who teach sociology. Be sure that all object names display fully in the Navigation Pane. As directed, create paper or electronic printouts of the relationship report and the five queries. Be sure that each object prints on one page. As directed, submit your database and the paper or electronic printouts of the six objects that are the results of this project. Specifically, in this project, using your own name, you created the following database and printouts or electronic printouts: 1. Lastname_Firstname_2H_Social_Sciences Database file 2. Lastname Firstname 2H Relationships Relationships Report (printout or electronic printout) 3. Lastname Firstname 2H Lab Classes Query Query (printout or electronic printout) 4. Lastname Firstname 2H Average Base Salary by Discipline Query Query (printout or electronic printout) 5. Lastname Firstname 2H Discipline Parameter Query Query (printout or electronic printout Sociology) 6. Lastname Firstname 2H Faculty in Sociology or Economics Query Query (printout or electronic printout) 7. Use the query names to assist you in your design. As directed, create paper or electronic printouts of the relationship report and the two queries. Be sure that each object prints on one page, and that the object names display fully in the Navigation Pane. As directed, submit your database and the paper or electronic printouts of the three objects that are the results of this project.
