2 Movie Maker Alternatives We mentioned before that Microsoft no longer supports Windows Essentials and Movie Maker is part of it. You also can t download it from Microsoft, but there is another site that works. This different one then the last week, because the last one did not work.

3 Movie Maker Alternatives If you have Movie Maker, you can use it, but if something happens with it, you may not be able to use it anymore. That s why I am showing you Movie Maker Alternatives. Next I will explain the Alternatives.

4 Movie Maker Alternatives The Alternatives are VideoPad, Microsoft PowerPoint, Kingsoft Presentations (like PowerPoint), YouTube and Adobe Premiere Elements. Note Kingsoft is free and it is owned by China and some people in our club don t think it is safe. PowerPoint and Adobe Premiere Elements are not free.

5 Movie Maker Alternatives The other Alternatives is Apps on the Windows Store that I tried and they are not as good as the ones I will show you. I also tried Open Office and Libre Office and you can t save as a Video. Next is what I will show.

6 I will be showing later part of VideoPad program that is free. But, after 30 days I tried to create another slide show and I could not Export the video until I upgraded and it cost about $39. Next is About my Presentation PDF file on our Computer Club Presentations Page.

7 The Presentation page on our website has links to PDF files for the presentations. Because the PDF file does not show videos, I have another link to a page that I created on my website that has other PDF files and videos. Next is Movie Maker Features.

8 Movie Maker Features You can create a video with Pictures, Videos and Music. You can add your own Voice. You can add your own video with webcam. You can edit Pictures, Videos and Music. You can add Titles. You can change the duration of the seconds on Titles and Pictures. You can add Captions and effects on the Pictures and Videos. You can Snapshot a Video to create a Picture. You can save it will different size of Video.

9 Alternatives Features VideoPad program has similar to all of the Movie Maker Features, that s why I am going to show you part of it. The Adobe Premiere Elements has more features, like adding a picture on top of a part of a video. That s why it may worth buying it. The other Alternatives have similar Features, but not all of them. You can go to my website and test the PDF files of the Alternatives and decide which one you want to use. Next is VideoPad. I will show you how to add Pictures, Title, Music, Captions, Webcam.

10 VideoPad VideoPad download ex.html Once you download, you get an Icon on your desktop. Next is what it looks like when you open it.

11 This is what it looks like when you open it and it has a window for you to upgrade. Next, I will zoom in so you can see it. 4/11/2017

12 You just click on the first one. The second one is for upgrade. Next is what happens when you click on the first one.

13 Window changes and just click on New Project. If you already have Projects, you will see them on the right, like Movie Maker. Next is what happens when you click on New Project.

14 Window closes. Note in Movie Maker you can t delete recent projects, but you can in VideoPad. Next is to add slide show.

15 You click on Images and then click on Open. I will zoom in so you can see it. Next is what happens.

16 File explorer opens and find a folder with pictures you want. Then click on the first one and press and hold the Shift Key and click on the last one and click on Open. Next is other option.

17 Second option is click on one and then press and hold the Ctrl Key and click on each one you want vs. all of them. Next is what happens in VideoPad when you select all of them.

18 You then see them. Next are two options to change duration seconds on images.

19 The default is 3 seconds on each image. Before you drag them to the bottom, you can change the default seconds. Once you drag the images to the bottom and what to change the duration, you have to do that on each image and can t apply to all, like Movie Maker does. Next is Add Title options.

20 Add Text, and Add Blanks that you see below. Next, I will show you what happens when you click on Add Text.

21 You see it on the left and a new window opens to add Text and change color, etc. Next is a sample of typing text and making changes of size, color, etc.

22 Here is a sample Next is a sample drag and drop the title and images.

24 Add Music options. You can add music from your computer. Note - there are different sites that have free music. If you have a Google account, like Gmail, you can download free music from YouTube. You can add your own Voice. Next is how to add music.

25 First make sure you have Music on your computer. Then click on Audio Files. Next is what happens.

26 You see a new Tap and then click on Open. It is the same process that I showed before to find a folder with music. Next is what happens when you find it and open it.

27 You then see it. Follow same process to drag it, but put it below the images just after the Title. The reason after the Title is if you add your own Voice on Title. Next is what happens.

28 You then see it at the bottom after the Title. Note The Title and Images look smaller because of the minutes on the music. Next is to add Caption to a Picture.

29 You click on a picture and you click on Subtitles I will zoom in so you can see it. Next is what happens when you click on it and type in Text and edit it.

30 Here is a sample. Next is about Webcam.

31 If you have a Webcam on your computer, you can record it on VideoPad. You can download a free program, called ManyCam, that adds effects on your Webcam video. Next, explains ManyCam.

32 When you do Skype, you can add the effects. ManyCam works on VideoPad and Movie Maker. To add effects on VideoPad and Movie Maker, you have to open ManyCam and it is not easy. That is why it is easier to just create a Video on ManyCam and then add it to any Alternatives. Next is a sample of a ManyCam Video that I created. After that I will explain ManyCam effects.

34 When you download ManyCam, it comes with effects. Below is a sample of some of the effects. Next is more options. 4/11/2017

35 If you want more effects, go to ManyCam.com. There are a lot of other effects that you can download to the ManyCam program. I have found some interesting effects. Next is a sample of new effects. After that, I will explain the other features in VideoPad.

39 You can add a GIF image from your computer to VideoPad. You can remove a Picture or Video. You can save the project, which I recommend. Once it is complete, you can save it as a Video. You can also burn to a DVD. You can share the video with other places, like YouTube. Next I will explain what I also added to VideoPad.

40 I added more images and a video. I did a Trim on the video. I also added my own voice, new Title, captions, some effects, change the length of the music, because the video has music. Next is the video that I created on VideoPad. Note as I mentioned before, you can t see it on PDF file. That is why I added it on to my website.
