I told her that we are waiting to hear back from the pest control company about spraying the buildings. I informed her that we have looked around the buildings inside and out and have not observed any brown recluse spiders. No other children or staff have had any bites and that we are not sure that the bite happened here at school but are doing everything we can to make sure that we take precautions and take actions to ensure that we can rule out the possibility of brown recluse spiders on campus for everyone s safety. I also confirmed with her that the teacher and parent educator would visit the home and bring educational activities for o do in the home to help him stay connected academically with the parent educator making visit ~very two weeks. During the original visit as listed on the work order, a general inspection was completed by myself and the maintenance staff at the facility to determine what pest control needs existed. No evidence of a brown recluse spider infestation was observed. As per the bid specifications from the original estimate, insect glueboard monitoring traps were installed during the initial treatment on 11/22/1 7, as well as a preventive treatment for general insects and spiders. An additional follow up visit on 12/22/17 at the facility did not show any evidence of brown recluse spiders on the monitoring traps. We will continue to monitor these traps and apply preventive general pest treatments through the rest of this school year, and will notify you with the results of the inspections. As you can see, we have investigated but found no evidence of spider infestations. We need to maintain a file of official documents and communications in case the parent initiates any legal proceedings in the future.
