Click on Create an account (located at the right bottom of the log on screen) a. If you already have an account, you can log in with your phone number and password b. If you have forgotten the password, please click on the Forgot Password button and follow the steps to reset the password. c. Ticking the Remember me only works on mobile browsers. ebits.smsalertgh.com

First Name: provide your first name without space or any special character ii. Last Name: provide your last name without space or any special character iii. Select Country: please select country of residence. iv. Phone Number: insert a phone number which is active at the time of registration v. Address: provide the address to which all correspondents shall be sent. ( the address is also necessary especially in times of password loss) vi. Password: choose a password to be used for all your log-ins vii. Confirm Password: retype the same password provided above viii. Check the box to agree to the terms and conditions. You may also read the terms and conditions by clicking on the provided link. 4. Retrieve a four-digit activation code from the phone used during the registration and use it to activate your online account.

THE SMS PLATFORM After a successful log-in, your account shall be credited with 5 free sms units for trial (you may call or for more credits if you should be in need). Your first name is usually displayed on the top-right corner of the screen. Clicking on the first name expands the account menus (please see 10 below for details) The following descriptions explain the various menus and sub-menus of the platform and their specific functions. MENUS AND SUB-MENUS ON THE PLATFORM Please note: The platform supports sending of both sms and voice alerts. Users can switch between the various systems by clicking on the desired alert (SMS/Voice) Several menus on both systems are similar. Create Message: clicking on this would display the message form for you. Type the title of your message and the body in the respective fields. Remember that the title is just used to identify the message and does not play any role during the sending and receiving of the message. b. View Messages: click on this to display all your created messages. You can click the edit button on the right of each message to edit the title and content of the message. Please note that 160 characters make up a page and you are allowed a maximum of 3 pages (480 characters including all referred fields like names, etc) per message. ebits.smsalertgh.com

Only contact groups with at least one member shall be displayed. b. Create Group: select this sub-menu to create a new contact group to be populated with your contacts. Provide the group name (only to be used to identify the group). 4. ADMISSIONS a. Academic year: set the academic year in which the current admission is taking place b. School Settings: provide the requested details on the school/college or university

Fees Settings: allows the setting of various fees by courses. Different fees can be set for different academic years. Fees for previous years could be viewed. f. Import Voice: the system automatically sends a selected voice alert to all the admitted students. Voice preferably should be in the.wav format and not longer than 30 seconds. ebits.smsalertgh.com

Delivery Report: get the desired reports by selecting your parameters i. Import Students: browse for the admission list in excel according to the sample format provided.

12 12 P a g e i n f e b i t s g h. c o m w w w. e b i t s g h. c o m 5. CONTACTS a. New Contact: selecting this would allow you to add a new member to an existing contact group. Thus, there should be at least one contact group to be able to add a new member. b. Import from Excel: selecting this sub-menu would allow you to import contacts from an excel file saved on your local hard disk in the format. The excel file shall have three columns in the following order; Name (the system takes the first part of each name as the first name), Phone Number (excel normally formats the phone number without the first 0 and that is accepted) and lastly Title. Please note that the excel file shall be without any column heading. c. Contact List: clicking on this sub-menu shall display all contacts from all groups together. ebits.smsalertgh.com

The columns exported are; title, firstname, lastname, phone, , dob. 6. SEND MESSAGE a. Group Messaging: this option is used to send an existing message to all members in selected group(s). Tick the check button(s) corresponding to your recipient group(s). If messages are already saved, user can conveniently use thei smart phone browsers to send messages b. Quick SMS: this provides you with a phone-like capability. It allows you to prepare the message right there to be sent to phone numbers you enter right there. Some limitations are; no customization of messages, sent messages are not saved, etc. c. Excel Messaging: you can send bulk messages to many recipients in an excel file ( format) without having to import the contacts into the online system. The file remains local after sending the message. The excel file allows a maximum of ten (10) columns with the only restrictions as; first column always containing the phone numbers and there should be no column heading. d. Delete Sender Name: this displays the list of all used Sender IDs and the option to delete. Please note that deleting an ID only hides it from your screen. e. Scheduled: this displays all scheduled and pending messages and allows the user to operate on them. 7. BIRTHDAY APP Users can ask the system to automatically send predefined birthday messages to loved ones. Just include their dates of birth during contacts registration, create your birthday message and activate. You do not need to remember! The system does it at the right date and time, whether you are online or not. Fantastic Right?

HELP: click on Help to be directed to answers some frequently asked questions. 10. ACCOUNT MENUS a. Change Password: you may change your password if you suspect it has been compromised. b. System automatically translates the various menus t the selected language. d. API Key: you can click on this to generate the Application Programming Interface Key to be used in linking your new applications to your ebits account. e. Log Out: clicking on this shall close your account and log you out. The system will require you to provide your phone number and password in your subsequent log-ins.
