1 RMSA-RASTRIYA MADAYAMIK SHISKSHA ABHIYAN Introduction The RMSA (Rastriya Madaymik Shiksha Abhiyan) Portal is primarily developed for the employees of the Department of Higher education so that they can post /share their questions/problems/views on a single platform that can be shared among all the employees of the department. In RMSA Portal, there are two types of Users: Departmental Employees Students Both Departmental employees and Students need to be registered themselves before accessing the application. Page 1 of 23

At present it has the information of various schools registered under RMSA along with the details of Subject wise detail of the SRG-State Resource Group. Registered School Link This link shows all the Schools registered under RMSA in Himachal Pradesh. The corresponding page has the filter criteria implemented. Selecting the particular District will filter the Registered Schools under RMSA in that particular district. Further selecting the Tehsil with in that district will squeeze the selection result to that particular Tehsil only. The result shows the District, Tehsil, School Code, School Name and the Block Name of the Registered Schools under RMSA. Page 3 of 23

The information displays the Name of the Officials along with their email Ids and mobile phones of the SRGs and DRGs.

New registration [Education Department employees] Since the portal involves only the employees of Higher Education department so the employee can register themselves online using their existing genpmis Employee Code and password. On authentication from genpmis by the software, the general information related to the employee is returned for self-verification and afterwards the employee registers himself/herself by the providing the portal password, his address and mobile number. The user is also required to fill the District, Tehsil and the School where he/she is posted at the moment. In case the User is a Lecture than he/ she has to provide the Subject. Selection of Subject is optional as in case of employees who are posted as principal. Page 5 of 23

During registration employee is asked to provide the secret Question and Answer, which will be used in case if the employee forgets his/her password provided during the registration.

Once the Employee is authenticated on the portal by the genpmis application, he/she needs to verify his/her id to activate his/her account. After registration, an is sent to the employee s Id (provided during registration) for verification and employee is asked to check his/her . In the , a verification code is send to the employee. The employee verifies himself/herself by clicking the link provided in the mail and entering the verification code. Once the employee is verified he/she can logon to the portal. Page 6 of 23

7 Registered employee [Login] This option is used to login to the Portal by the registered Departmental employee. The user enters his/her Id (provided during registration) as User Name and Password (Provided by the user during registration) for accessing the application. The verification code is required to entered as shown for verification that the current request in the page is generated through the human intervention and is not system generated. Page 7 of 23

New Registration [Students] This option is used by the Students to register them in the RMSA Portal to see the detail of the questions/queries posted in the Portal.

While registration, User provides his Name, Nick name, Date of Birth, Gender, Father s Name, District, Tehsil, School and Class. After furnishing the details, a Registration Number would be generated by the system. Students are requested to note down the system generated Registration Number because it would be your User name while logging on to the RMSA Portal. Page 8 of 23

Registered Students [Login] While Logging to the portal for the Students the system generated Registration Number would be the User name and The Student s

These selections parameters can be carried out to limit the search of the resource persons.

10 RMSA Coordinators This page shows the information pertaining to the SRG & DRGs Coordinators based on the selection corresponding to the Subject, Role or District wise. These selections parameters can be carried out to limit the search of the resource persons. The result will show the Name of the Resource person, his/her subject, District, Name of the school posted and his/ her Id and Mobile No. State Coordinators Page 10 of 23

This page by default shows all the SRGs-State Resource Group Coordinators in the State. Selection parameters Subject or District can be selected to further narrow down the search.

District Coordinators This page by default shows all the DRGs-District Resource Group Coordinators in the State. Selection parameters Subject or District can be selected to further narrow down the search. Resource Material This page contains the lesson indicators, Lesson Plans and Question Banks with reference to the Topic of a particular Subject in a selected Class. Selecting the Class will displays all the subjects of that Class for which the information exists in the RMSA Portal. Page 11 of 23

Selecting the Subject will displays the Topic wise information. In case the available information is in pdf format than the corresponding icon will be displayed.

Link also shows whether the corresponding information is in English or Hindi. Online Queries link will shows the various queries asked in the portal with reference to the selected Topic of the particular subject in a selected Class. Student Queries This page shows the various queries raised in the portal with reference to the Topic of the particular Subject of the selected class. The available selection parameters can be used to select the queries raised in respect of the selected Topic. Page 12 of 23

Main (Department Employee) Once the User logins to the RMSA Portal he/she would be taken

15 Edit Profile This option is used to edit the personal information corresponding to the User. User can change his/her Mobile No., Nick Name, Secret Question/ Answer which is to be provided in case the user forgets his/her password of the portal in the future. He/ She can also update the location of the school where is at present in the portal. Page 15 of 23

This option is used by the user to change his/her password in the RMSA Portal. User has to provide the current password of the RMSA Portal and then enters the new password which the user wants.

The User has to re-enter the New Password for its confirmation. School Registration This option is used to enter the Government School of Himachal Pradesh which are authorised to use the RMSA Portal. Only users with Administration Role are authorised to add registered school for the RMSA Portal. The User needs to provide the District, Tehsil and the 10 Digit School Code along with the School and Block Name. Page 17 of 23

18 Add Topics User with Administrator role can add/update the topics of a subject of the particular class. User has to select the Class & Subject from the Drop down List. The Grid below will show the existing Topics. The User can modify a Topic by clicking the Edit Button. File Upload Page 18 of 23

Authenticated user with the Administrator Role can upload the files corresponding to the entered Topics of a Subject of a Class which will be available in the public domain.

While uploading the document User has to specify the Material type whether it is a Lesson Indicator, Lesson Plan or Question Bank and also the type of document to be uploaded whether it is a PowerPoint ppt or pdf. If a document already exists corresponding to the Topic then the same would be overwritten by the newly uploaded. Delete Uploaded File This option is used to delete the document corresponding to a Topic of a particular Subject in a Class. Authorised user has to select all the parameters provided to use this option. Page 19 of 23

20 Assign Role This option is used to Grant Role to the Departmental Employees provided that the Employee must be already registered in the RMSA Portal. The User enters the 5 Digit genpmis Employee Code to whom the Role is to be granted. The detail of the employee would be populated for the verification. In case the Role is already granted to the selected User than his/her role would be shown. User can also change the Role of the selected departmental Employee. Assign Role Students This option is used to grant the privilege of posting Questions/ Queries in the RMSA Portal to the registered Students in the RMSA Portal.

The Grantor authorized user enters the RMSA Registration No. of the Student. The system populates the details for verification. The appropriate role can be selected from the list. Page 21 of 23

Post Queries/ Questions This option is used by the Authenticated Departmental Employee and Registered Students who are authorised to post Questions/ Queries in the RMSA Portal.

22 Post Queries/ Questions This option is used by the Authenticated Departmental Employee and Registered Students who are authorised to post Questions/ Queries in the RMSA Portal. All the questions/ queries would be posted corresponding to a Topic of a particular Subject in a selected Class. Authorised users (Departmental as well as Students) can post answers corresponding to these questions. Page 22 of 23

23 Answer to the Query As the authorised users can post Queries/ Questions with reference to a Topic of a particular subject with in a class. They can also answer them on the portal by clicking the select button corresponding to the question to which he/she would like to answer. Logout This option is used to log out the login user from the RMSA Application. Users should exit the portal by clicking the Logout button. Page 23 of 23
