7 + New Addresses All new addresses for SCC will be hosted on the SCAL server I will let you know when.scc.k12.ia.us addresses are ready Southern-cal.k12.ia.us addresses will still work Multiple s can go to one account as long as they remain in the same domain(scc.k12.ia.us & southern-cal.k12.ia.us are now functioning as the same domain) IE: bryan_case@southern-cal.k12.ia.us bcase@scc.k12.ia.us 1300@southern-cal.k12.ia.us 1300@scc.k12.ia.us

8 + More Notes on Admin will send you one message a day on that has been tagged as junk by our firewall Check this periodically if you think you have that is not coming through ICCC was being junked earlier this summer they think they have this fixed Distribution Lists Elementary HS Faculty NOTE: I can only make distribution lists within our domain, you however can make as many as you want in your own account which can include multiple domains (ie: RCL staff addresses)

9 + More Notes on Please keep your mailbox CLEANED out! Deleting messages puts them in a Deleted Items Folder, empty that periodically If you have an OVERLOADED mailbox I will send you an and ask you to delete all mail prior to a certain date (District-wide we have 4-5 people who need to do this)

11 + JMC RCL District JMC SCAL Building JMC (Because of internet speed to Lohrville) Coming soon...district JMC (Web-Based) combining both districts/all 4 buildings JMC still has this under development for roll out this year NOTE: There will be no lunch cards this year students will enter their JMC account number. If you have a class 4 th hour stress to students to memorize this number off their schedule!

12 + JMC Gradebook All HS and Elem (Lohrville) staff have the JMC installed in a folder on your file server account. If you want to use JMC from home I can give you the directions to download and install. JMC IP Gradebook is not platform specific. Gradebook not working... Make sure the URL reads: Make sure the user name is your LAST NAME!!!!!!! Password: Your network password, UNLESS you used a different one last year (if you change this please get pswd to Becky)

17 + Polycom Classroom Located in former Spanish Room Can conduct meetings, class discussions, etc with any remote site that has a Polycom Classroom Similar in functionality to the ICN room but there s no charge, as the signal is broadcast via the internet rather than via ICN SPANISH will use one period a day 2 nd hour

18 + Updates Updated virus software Office 2007, Office 2010, Office 2011 (based on the compatibility of the computer) Updated Java, Acrobat Reader, Flash Player, as needed Browsers: Internet Explorer 8, Safari, Firefox 5 (Firefox 6 was released as I updated my LAST computer!) If you need help with additional updates, please let me know.

19 + Google Docs.scc domain has been reserved by Southern Central Calhoun If you wish to have a class use google docs, let me know and I can import the list an set up a class for you.

20 + Help Desk... Covering 3 towns, 4 buildings on a rotating basis Will be in HS building AT LEAST every day 7 th end of day. Marker board outside my room with my tentative schedule best way to send me what you need.
