Using iclicker 7.9 and above on macos 10.12 Sierra iclicker versions 7.9 and above work with macos 10.12 Sierra, if iclicker was on the computer before it was upgraded to Sierra.

1 Using iclicker 7.9 and above on macos Sierra iclicker versions 7.9 and above work with macos Sierra, if iclicker was on the computer before it was upgraded to Sierra. If a computer has macos Sierra and does not have iclicker currently installed on it, the following instructions must be followed for iclicker to interact with CSU s instance of Canvas. Create iclicker folder on the desktop A new folder has to be created to hold the new iclicker software. Navigate to the desktop, or any other location on the hard drive, click on the File menu and select New Folder. Double click on the new folder to open it.

Note: CSU is currently testing the iclicker Cloud software, but at this time we are not supporting iclicker Cloud.

2 Download the iclicker.dmg file The iclicker.dmg file must be downloaded from the iclicker download website. Users must download the iclicker Classic software by clicking on the Download Options button, which is located to the right of the iclicker Classic description. Note: CSU is currently testing the iclicker Cloud software, but at this time we are not supporting iclicker Cloud. The iclicker Cloud software will not work with CSU s instance of Canvas. On the Download iclicker Classic page, click on the Mac icon. When asked what to do with the.dmg file, click on the Save File option and then click OK. This will save the.dmg in the Downloads folder. Information about the iclicker registration process can be found on iclicker s support page, or by clicking on the Learn More link on the registration window. Close iclicker by navigating to the i>clicker menu and selecting Quit iclicker. Page 5

6 Downloading the LMS_Wizard.xml file The LMS_Wizard.xml file must be downloaded from TTC s website. When asked what to do with the LMZ_Wizard.zip file, select the Open with Archive Utility option and click OK. The file will be unzipped and opened in the Downloads folder. Page 6

In the iclicker folder that was created, double click on the Resources folder to open it.

7 Copying the LMS_Wizard.xml file The LMS_Wizard.xml file must be copied from the Downloads folder into the iclicker Resources folder. In the iclicker folder that was created, double click on the Resources folder to open it. Navigate to the Downloads folder on the dock and then click, hold, and drag the LMS_Wizard.xml file into the Resources folder. Page 7

8 With the LMS_Wizard.xml file in the Resources folder, iclicker is configured to work with CSU s instance of Canvas. Opening iclicker To open iclicker, navigate to the root iclicker folder and double click on the iclicker.app file This iclicker folder may be moved to any location on the computer, or on a flash drive. Note: The entire folder with all associated files must be moved. If the iclicker.app file is moved out of this folder, the iclicker software will not function. Page 8
