4 Mastercam 2019 ReadMe BETA 5 04/12/2018 BETA 5 04/12/2018 Unicode issues were preventing text files from being output correctly. R Geometry Spline Blended did not give the expected result. D Geometry Solids with new Plane associativity crashed. R Geometry Curves sometimes appeared to be incorrectly on or in front of surfaces. R Updated to Granite 11 SDK in support of the import of ProE/Creo parts. This provides support for the new release of Creo 5.0. R STL stock did not display properly. R Geometry Tooling Surfaces created from a solid after a Dynamic Transformation were in the wrong location. When renumbering a tool, the tool number did not update in the operation, or reverted. This caused a crash. R R

5 Mastercam 2019 ReadMe BETA 4 03/22/2018 BETA 4 03/22/2018 Opening STEP file caused crash in Mastercam 2018 and Mastercam R Importing a file from Mastercam for SOLIDWORKS into Mastercam 2019, geometry imported but the toolpath did not. R Scroll wheel inside of Translate panel in fields was not working. R When deselecting geometry in Surface finish toolpath, Mastercam locked up. R Turn The Model Chamfer toolpath was returning grayed out lead in/out fields when using Plane Rotation. R Licensed products were not properly shown as installed in Mastercam Launcher. R OptiRough and Area Roughing regression failed to regenerate. S

R Attribute definition and block reference were missing, and improper type font was imported on a drawing file. R Geometry Solid edges were difficult to select in some situations. R Geometry Wireframe geometry residing along a surface edge was sometimes difficult to see. R Replacing default value in the panel returned bad results when using right-click copy and paste. R Planes, Rotate Incremental reset the planes' Section state and color. R Toggeling Levels All on/all off did not work properly. R Viewsheets were removed after renaming local machine definition. R Toolpaths could not be seen though glass entities. R

8 Mastercam 2019 ReadMe BETA 1 01/25/2018 BETA 1 01/25/2018 / Simulation Mastercam Simulator with Rewind feature active caused crash when closing Mastercam. D / Simulation / Simulation / Simulation Verify - Arc start radius did not equal arc end radius. D Verifying multiple transform operations in Mastercam Simulator caused crash. D Verify Compare results were different first time than subsequent times. D / Simulation Tool movement and display with Verify running was slow and choppy if the mouse was moving in the simulation area. If mouse was still, Verify ran normally. D / Simulation / Simulation / Simulation / Simulation IOF error appeared first time launching IOF Simulation. D IOF Simulation was showing an extra move before cutting the contour. D Tool holder caused error in Verify. R Machine Simulation did not display fixture from a level. R Configuration Custom tabs did not display after importing the workspace file from Mastercam D D Configuration AutoCursor Settings - Set the Quadrant setting to be off by default. R Configuration Adding Machine Type group to additional ribbon tabs disabled machine selection. R Configuration Import function in Options, Context menu was resulting in blank context menu when Mastercam was localized. R When importing AutoCAD files, drawings were missing text upon conversion. R Zero length line in imported DWG file caused axes lines not to display. R Attached parasolid opened in Mastercam 2017 in a few seconds, in 2018 it took 20 minutes. R Mastercam was unable to remember paper size selection for print in Japanese. R Opening a DWF file in Mastercam 2017 and 2018 created random geometry, instead of what was actually in the file. R Geometry Surface - Three Fillet Blend crashed when using the attached file. R Geometry Hitting [Enter] in Create Letters added extra lines to the text rather than closing the function. R Geometry Transform Stretch Could no longer unselect an entity. R Geometry Curve Slice - Curve was not being created on all surfaces as expected. R

D Selecting a quick mask item was not always changing focus to the graphics area. R Right-click copy no longer functioned in Mastercam 2018 and R Level Manager Purge Empty Levels did not always work correctly. R Dynamic Plane - AutoCursor menu was not enabled during initial gnomon placement. R Right-click paste overwrote entire field instead of inserting clipboard value. R Aggregate Head was not visible in Machine Definition Manager. R C-axis Contour chain geometry was showing geometry as still chained after being unselected. Miscellaneous Operations, Do not process this operation, was not functioning. Chuck Jaws OD #2 Reference point was not being used in the Pick Off/Cut Off pickoff Z coordinate. R R R C-axis toolpath - changing work offset did not mark the operation dirty. R Stock Models using C-Axis source operations were not positioned correctly. R Variables were not being passed to the post processor correctly. R Contour Rough ignored stock. R Stock was gone after Canned Finish operation. R Contour Rough gave No cuts were made error with 0.0 stock to leave. R Rough cuts were twice as deep as set in toolpath parameters. R Toolplanes were not being calculated properly. R Rough missed passes if cut angle was set to less than 1.3 degrees. R D Dynamic Contour - No depth cuts with open chain. D D Contour - Depth cuts were applied only to some chains. D Dynamic OptiRest gouged part in rapid move. D Dynamic OptiRest gouging on one of the feed moves going through one of the fillets. D D Dynamic Area did not clear top of island. D D Dynamic Peel finish passes had bad retracts. R D Pocket toolpath used pocket type Open and open pocket cutting method; no corner radius was produced. R Finish pass depths were not working in C-Axis Face Contour. R Surfacing Rough and Finish Toolpaths selection of solids was not working properly. R Surface High Speed Toolpaths Project stock to leave not applied. R

R R Stock model failed to build when using multiple drilling operations. R Surface Finish Contour locked up - smoothing/tolerance related regression issue. R D Dynamic Rest Material crashed Mastercam X8 when trying to generate a toolpath. If Containment Regions were added, it would then work. Dynamic spindle speed went back to the ramp in speed when using any of the Motion > Gap size, retract options. R R D Dynamic, Rest - ignored previous operation and machining entire area. R Helix Bore ignored Clearance value. R If negative stock to leave equaled the tool radius, a Reporting Computation Error warning was displayed. R D Waterline with negative stock to leave needed warning. R Surface Finish Contour - long regeneration eventually failed. D Waterline plunge rate was not output in some cases. R Turn Output of Semi-finish speed resulted with improper turning spindle direction. R Turn Job setup pickoff position was not accepted when value was manually entered. R Turn Pinch turn operation and its associated operation did not have consistent sync points. R Turn Thread operation went dirty after it was opened with no changes made. R Cutter compensation set to Control - compensation was only displaying in graphics window on last chain. R In 2D Dynamic, Island Facing was not cutting the entire face. R Tooling Coolant was not set to tool's setting. R Tooling Renumbered tool was not listed in Tool Manager library. R Tooling Holders with four significant digits caused issues. R Toolpaths Hidden Stock Models were sometimes visible when file was opened. R Toolpaths Wire Drill 5 axis - Added parameter to end of toolpath lines to denote this was a subtype of drill. Contour - Make tab cutoff move with skim cut checkbox was enabled when changing Tech sequence. S R

11 Mastercam 2019 ReadMe Technical Preview 12/28/2017 TECHNICAL PREVIEW 12/28/2017 Configuration Startup machine was loading alongside machine contained in the part file. R Merging in STEP files incremented level numbers by 2 instead of 1. R Drawing level names with "" or / caused the file to fail to export geometry. R Geometry [OK/New] did not clear prior selection in Surfaces from Solids..R Geometry Vertical geometry was no longer deleted when projected using Transform Project. R The graphics area controlled the [Delete] key, when the Levels properties area was hidden, if trying to delete the level name. R [Alt] key remained active when [Alt+Tab] was used to switch to Mastercam. R Extending a chain resulted in air cutting in Canned toolpaths. R Canned Finish would not accept tool used in Canned Rough. R Clearance values for Plunge Turn toolpath created a collision with stock. R Legacy operation would not drag and drop in Toolpaths Manager. R Rough did not update stock correctly when Minimum Arc length was too small. R D Contour using Ramp and Plunge setting gave an assert. R High Speed Toolpath Model Geometry grid did not use the stock default when the System Configuration, Toolpath/Surface Selection, Drive Option was set to All. R D Contour, Depth cut order was disabled and effected the selection behavior. R Trim toolpath caused a crash. R Stock model appeared when unblanking entities. R Contour tool paths with Tab Cutoff in separate operations duplicated the Tab Cutoff Operations when regenerated. R Turn Turn posting reverted lathe stock boundary to initial position. R Turn Code Expert crashed when posting. R Tooling Copied and edited High Feed tool disappeared from the library. R Tooling Migrating TOOLDBs changed the projection length for tools with multi-segment holders. R Tooling Metric tools had non-displayable descriptions. R Tooling Added cut and plunge direction arrows to the graphics view for 3D tools S Toolpaths Manager Multi-threaded operations with dependents failed to regenerate D Toolpaths Manager Display Options, Dependencies were not applied to upstream operations. D Toolpaths Manager Exporting operations that use a solid displayed a warning, then caused crash. D Mastercam Home Learning Edition crashed when opening file. R File, Mergeoverwrote existing level names. R Nesting Toolpath filtered duplicate diameter tools. R Printing error: Attempted an unsupported operation. R FlattenSurf C-Hook was missing the text on the Flip U/V button. R Convert Apply to all existing printers to a button. R Geometry Bounding Boxsize changed if circle was rotated. R Geometry The speed of creating a Curve Slice on the solid body had slowed down. R Geometry Trim Surface to Curves gave different results, based on chain start point. R Geometry Curve All Edges failed on X_T file. R Geometry Transform Project crashed when projecting arcs to solid face R Geometry Surface Trim to Curve on a torus or line did not do a clean job. R Geometry Solid Variable Radius Fillet, Cycle did not highlight the current point. R Geometry Arrows did not adjust for Hole Axis when changing orientation. R Geometry Parting Line missed some edges. R When changing entity color, the entity stayed selected if the selected color was the same as the entity. R Fit included dirty toolpaths. R Spin control settings did not work with the new panels. R Stock Advance operation did not work correctly when using Reference points. Deselecting Inspection Length in Rough Tool, still used the values from Lead In/Out and Start/End of pass allowance. R R Turn -Turn job setup type effected ID clamping diameter. R D Area missing depth cuts. D Stock Model would not regenerate. R Canned Text, Add functionality stoped functioning after a fixed number of interactions. R Stock Model used all available system memory, and did not process. R Toolpaths Curve 5-axis was offset from chain. R Toolpaths Custom Work Coordinate System in a Mastercam X9 file regenerated incorrectly. R

13 Mastercam 2019 ReadMe Technical Preview 11/09/2017 TECHNICAL PREVIEW 11/09/2017 ATP Invoice data did not output to ATP reports. R Opening a SOLIDWORKS file with the Import Solids History option selected, imported a problematic solid that caused Mastercam to crash. Opening a SOLIDWORKS file with the Import Solids History option selected, imported only one side of a flat instead of a flat on both sides. Opening a SOLIDWORKS file with the Import Solids History option selected, imported a part with a circular pattern that was incorrect. D D R Opening a file with corrupt machine file name caused Mastercam to crash. R Opening a SOLIDWORKS file with the Import Solids History option selected, caused incorrect results. R Geometry The wrong section was trimmed when using Blended Spline. R Geometry When the Orientation was changed in Hole Axis, the arrows did not adjust correctly. R Geometry Curve Slice did not create curves on all surfaces as expected. R Rough did not cut the entire chain when the insert corner radius was set to 1/64. R The spindle was reversed when using a C-axis Face Contour toolpath. R D Finish Contour had an error when using Undercut with a tapered shank tool. R Turn Toolpaths Toolpaths Dynamic OptiRough's vertical retracts should have been rapid instead of feed rate. The Select button was incorrectly labeled on the Part Geometry page for -Turn toolpaths. Adjusting the end chain point during Guided Chaining did not move the direction arrows. Bad preparatory data was written to ASCII NCI when a Multiaxis Curve toolpath was trimmed to stock. R R R R Toolpaths Multiaxis Curve, using 4 axis with tilt from Lines, did not respect the custom WCS. R Toolpaths Toolpaths Toolpaths Toolpaths Multiaxis Roughing, Stock to leave was not correctly calculated in Mastercam Blade Area Roughing, which was removed from the Multiaxis Parallel toolpath, has been returned to the Misc page. Added an option in Advanced Configuration, to turn off multiaxis toolpath threading. Added a parameter to the NCI for Multiaxis Drill toolpath with a Safety Zone, to denote this is a sub-type of drill. R R S S Toolpaths Manager Dragging multiple operations did not show the multiple folder icon. R Toolpaths Manager Added operation Dependencies report output. S

14 Mastercam 2019 ReadMe Technical Preview 10/19/2017 TECHNICAL PREVIEW 10/19/2017 [Enter] no longer functioned as OK and Create New Operation in Transform functions. When nesting, an imported.ini file that referenced two Mastercam files only brought the operations from the first file into the Parts List. R R Solids Chamfer had a tessellation issue. R The Leader size prevented the dimension from being placed inside when using Circular dimensions. When using Transform, Offset Chains on a small part, the geometry disappeared or was not created. R R Three Surface Blend used the untrimmed portion of the surface. R System planes were changed after editing a lathe machine definition. D Most Recently Used (MRU) list did not collapse when the [Enter] key was pressed. R Planes Work offset changed from Manual to Automatic when changing planes in legacy toolpaths. R Avoidance was not applied when entire solid was selected. R D Toolpaths Rough and Finish Stock did not use the defaults for Wall Stock and Floor Stock, nor were the values output in NCI. 3D High Speed Toolpaths, Model Geometry did not have the ability to save stock to leave values to defaults. R R D Dynamic OptiRough gouged solid faces. R Reports Added geometry was not output in operation view. R

15 Mastercam 2019 ReadMe Technical Preview 09/28/2017 TECHNICAL PREVIEW 09/28/2017 Drafting The arrow size of an Ordinate dimension changed when placing multiple dimensions. R A DWG file came in with bad data. R Migration Wizard did not update binary post with the files. R Dynamic Transform in 2D mode did not project the anchor point correctly. R Classic Backplot had a graphics issue with tool showing through the part surface. R Cross Drill, Change at point output the absolute value instead of the incremental value. R Bad NCI was written for Canned Grooving. R Linearization tolerance was missing from the Finish dialog box. R created planes for all chains in a toolpath when changed to a Y-axis rotation. R Dynamic Rough started the toolpath with tool buried in the part and produced an error. R Pattern Repeat gouged a specific part. R D High Speed Toolpaths - Project did not keep Machining Geometry and Stock values. R D Dynamic OptiRough gouged solid faces. R D Dynamic OptiRough, Avoidance was not applied when the entire solid was selected. R Turn Exporting an operation to a -Turn operations file failed. R Turn Work Offset field was not available on the Setup page. R Toolpaths Setup Sheet, Minimum and Maximum values were incorrect when the WCS was different from Tplane and Cplane. D API Canceling out of the Metafile C-Hook, File Selection dialog put the graphics window in an unusable state. D API Solid entities were not properly deleted using the NET-Hook API. D API IsEvaluationLicense functionality was missing from NET-Hook API. R ATP Edits made to an operation via the Strategy Explorer were not saved. R An error occurred when selecting Quick Verify. D A collision with a workpiece was not reported in Verify. D Mastercam Simulator's Remove chips option did not work as in the previous version. -Turn Mastercam Simulator showed a gouge, where Mastercam Simulator and Backplot did not. When using Sync Views in Mastercam Simulator, a part would sometimes be out of view. D D D Face Drilling was in the wrong position in Mastercam Simulator. D Rapid moves disappeared as the toolpath ran in Classic Backplot. D Classic Backplot buttons needed a double-click to work. D Multiaxis Link Tool Change, Before Linking did not show correctly in Classic Backplot. True Thread mode option was incorrectly selected by default in Mastercam Simulator. Tool Tip Compensation for a 5-axis Drill transform was shown incorrectly in Classic Backplot. D D D Tool from DXF file showed a gap between holder and tool in Classic Backplot. R Classic Backplot was not fully cutting a Groove toolpath. R When in Classic Backplot with Toolpaths Manager set to Auto-Hide, the playback controls were hidden and unusable. R The Simulation mode of Mastercam Simulator now displays collision items in red. S Configuration Invalid File Name message appeared when selecting the Default Machines. R

S Drafting Note using a TrueType font displayed at a lower resolution. R Design-only error message appeared when Machine Group was present upon File, Open. R Import Operations did not support.emcam and.emcx file types. R Crash could occur when logging system errors. D Files no longer shipped were not migrated from previous versions. D Importing a certain KeyCreator file consumed RAM while being processed. D Raster To Vector took longer to convert a file than in Mastercam X9. D STEP files created in Creo were missing faces when read into Mastercam. D Renumber level did not work correctly on a STEP file. R CAD Import SOLIDWORKS did not create all the holes with Import Solids History. R Verify Selection did not always show the preview. R With AutoSave selected, saving after every operation with a 2D Dynamic toolpath locked up Mastercam. R Improved performance with a part file containing large amounts of geometry data. R Imported DXF profile arcs were changed from bottom to top view when importing and extracting profiles. R Create Door, Export to separate file did not work. R Merge Pattern caused Mastercam to become unresponsive with certain functions and plane settings. R Files with special characters in name would not open. R Mastercam would not save to a folder named with foreign characters. R Geometry Using the Trim option in Blended Spline created bad results. R Geometry Extending a spline converted it into a parametric spline. R Levels Manager had incorrect context menu behavior. R Enable All has been changed to Restore Defaults in AutoCursor Settings. R Delete key was not focused in Planes Manager when used in Origin fields. R Opening a part file changed the WCS/Tplane/CPlane settings. D File opened with plane coordinate set to instead of. D Selecting a Quick Mask item did not change focus to the graphics area. R Incorrect tool tip shown in Planes Manager right-click context menu. R-13654, Stock Plane did not change. R Clear unpinned documents from recent file list triggered improper argument error and failed. R Plane information was not saved to the bookmark of the Viewsheet. R

18 Mastercam 2019 ReadMe Technical Preview 09/07/2017 The up/down scroll bar of the Planes and Levels Managers disappeared when Hide Plane Properties was selected. R Blanked entities were included in Fit. R Blank/Unblank caused odd behavior with Select all entities by color. R Levels were not getting updated in the Entity Attributes Manager. R Right-click menu displayed incorrect string for Gview. R Adding Machine selection to the Quick Access Toolbar disabled that machine in the ribbon. R Not all levels were visible after opening a file. R Pressing the [Delete] key when in the Comments field removed the Planes Manager. R Gview gnomon showed wrong plane name. R Entities did not display when moved to a hidden level via Analyze. R Moving entity used to define a plane broke the associativity. R The Set all option in Printing, Linewidth Attributes dialog did not apply the line width to all colors. R The current Viewsheet was not preserved after the file was saved and reopened. R Part did not always align or fit correctly after editing plane orientation. R Reset all in Customize Keyboard allowed shortcut keys to appear in the context menu. R Plane sometimes showed incorrectly as Used in a Viewsheet. R Updated machine images. S Some toolpaths displayed as rapids. D Classic Backplot with Quick verify selected caused all tools to remove all stock. D Pickoff/Pull/Cutoff did not respect the tool choice. R R Spindle direction was incorrect. R tool offset change in the operation s parameters did not post the correct offset. R jaws and stock were not retained when defined on right chuck. R When exporting a operation as CSS, the operation stayed as RPM. R Compensation direction was wrong when using Z = World Z. R Dynamic Rough stock was not updated correctly. R Rough, Zig zag straight cutting method collided with certain part shapes. R Cross Drill returned to the first position and re-drilled it. R Stock Flip had incorrect original position for chuck. R

R Tabbing between fields of 2D Peel jumped around. D Surface Finish Contour toolpath using an undercut tool did not undercut properly. R Global, Minimum arc feed setting was not used. R Surface Finish Contour using a lollipop tool with Detect Undercuts selected caused a warning. R Model Geometry page appeared empty for a 3D Project toolpath. R Editing the Model Geometry grid changed the stock to leave amount to zero. R A reporting computation error occurred when the Maximum stepover equaled the flat diameter of the tool. 3D Hybrid toolpath did not create a toolpath when using 3D passes, Preserve Z passes and Flat detection. R R D Waterline with negative stock to leave had a long regeneration time. R D Contour with multiple chains and using Control did not show compensation move on both geometry. 3D Waterline toolpath using a flat end mill with a negative value in Leave stock on created a computation error. R R Dynamic OptiRough toolpath gouged a part when using a large Stepdown value. R D Pencil toolpath cut deeper than the Maximum depth setting. R Stock model did not create the model properly when there were many 3D High Speed Toolpaths selected. R Turn -Turn Pull position was invalid. R Turn Slot added to the ing ribbon gallery. R Turn MP.net Adding array to watch list did not work from resource tree. R Turn MP.net Else orphan was not detected. R Turn MP.net // in literal string resulted in comment output when posting. R Turn Code Expert crashed when posting. R Turn MP.net.DidOutput property was set incorrectly. R Turn Code Expert crashed when Output statements were made in an OutputCallBack. R Turn 3D Contour was not supported in -Turn. R Turn Chuck jaw angle about C axis did not work on a sub spindle. R Turn Importing -Turn operations brought in unnecessary planes. R Turn Groove, Finish spindle speed output incorrect NC code under a specific condition. R Turn Spindle sync did not work in both upper and lower streams. R Toolpaths Feed rate and other properties in Analyze Toolpath did not update until after regeneration. R Toolpaths Code Expert's Region control context menu was missing when editing a PST post. R Toolpaths Mask on Arc, Sorting, Depth filtering overrode masked arc diameter. R Toolpaths The shortcut key for reverse chaining did not work until you clicked in the Solid Chaining dialog box. R Toolpaths Manual entry toolpaths caused errors in Simulation when they contained syncs.
