2 AutoCad Electrical AutoCAD electrical is software to create electrical control systems. AutoCAD Electrical is free for students who use their OIT address. Use the link above to create an account or sign in with an existing account to download the software. 1. Execute the installer 2. In the main menu, select Install 3. On the license Agreement page, select I Accept and then Next 4. On the Configuration installation page, click the down arrow for Autodesk AutoCAD and configure it: a. Under Manufacturer Content Selection, press Select All b. Under Select Your Standard, select IEEE Standard (U.S., International) 1

3 c. Under Installation Type, check Express Tools d. Press the up arrow at the top of the page 5. Select Install 6. When finished, select Finish 7. When prompted to restart, select Yes 8. When the restart is complete, launch AutoCAD Electrical 9. When the Let s Get Started splash screen appears, select Login 10. Enter your AutoCAD account information 2

4 AutoCad Fusion 360 Select Free Trial AutoCAD Fusion 360 is CAD/CAM Software. 1. Execute the installer a. This will install Fusion When the login screen appears, enter your account information a. If you are new, select CREATE ACCOUNT and create an account 3. At the top right corner, select the Blue box Term ends in 30 Days a. If the term has already expired, it will be a red box that says Term has Expired 4. Select Sign up as a Student or Educator and agree to the terms 3

5 Arduino IDE The Arduino IDE allows you to create and upload software to the Arduino prototype boards. Additional configuration may be required depending on the board. 1. Execute the installer 2. On the License Agreement Page, select I Agree 3. On the Installation Options page, leave defaults and select Next > 4. On the installation Folder page, select Install 5. When finished, select Close 4

7 LabView [6-month trial] 1. Select Free LabVIEW Student Edition for 6 months 2. Select I AGREE, Request serial 3. Fill out the registration form a. Select Student for Role 4. Note the provided Serial Number and select Software LabView is a tool used for connecting to lab equipment. 1) Execute the software installer 2) On the window describing the self-extracting archive, select OK 3) Unzip the installer 4) On the LabVIEW 2017 welcome page, select Next >> 5) On the User Information page, select Next >> 6) On the Serial Numbers page, input your serial number into the LabVIEW 2017 (Base/Full/Professional) Window and select Next >> 7) On the Destination Directory page, select Next >> 6

8 8) On the Features page, select Next >> 9) On the Product notifications page, select Next >> 10) Select any updates, otherwise select Next >> 11) On the License Agreement Page, select I accept and then Next >> 12) On the next License Agreement Page, select I accept and then Next >> 13) On the Fast Startup page, select Next >> 14) On the Start Installation page, select Next >> 15) If a popup about device drivers comes up, select Decline Support 16) When installation is finished, select Next >> 17) When the NI User Account window appears, enter your and password 18) When prompted, select Activate to active your license 7
