2 Customer Release Notes Remote Connectivity Introduction ViewRay is offering remote access capabilities for MRIdian customers to connect to the MRIdian Treatment Planning System via a secure 3rd Party software, ScreenConnect. This remote access capability will be provided to MRIdian customers for internal evaluation purposes until July 31, This software is provided as-is without warranty of any kind. CAUTION: The MRIdian system is for PRESCRIPTION USE ONLY. Federal law restricts the device to sale by or on the order of a physician, or licensed healthcare provider. Contacting Support Support services are available without charge during the initial warranty period. If you require support or wish to provide feedback, contact ViewRay Inc. using one of the methods listed below. 3 Customer Release Remote Connectivity Features During the trial period customers will have exclusive access to use ScreenConnect software to enable remote access to perform all of the following tasks via a remote session: 1. Treatment planning 2. Plan approval 3. Review of delivered fractions 4. Enabling/disabling MRI only mode Note: Remote access is available on up to two different computers on the MRIdian network at the same time. Multiple users can connect remotely to the same computer for over-the-shoulder opportunities. Hospital IT staff will provide a web address to access the ScreenConnect console. 2. Use any web browser to go to the address. The ScreenConnect Login screen opens REV A ViewRay, Inc.

4 Customer Release Notes Remote Connectivity 3. Enter the temporary User Name and Password provided to you by ViewRay. The home screen opens. 4. The first time connecting to the ScreenConnect console, click your username in the top right and select Change Password. ViewRay, Inc REV A 3

5 Customer Release Remote Connectivity 5. Enter the temporary Password provided to you by ViewRay, and set a new password by entering it in the New Password and Confirm New Password fields. Click Change Password. A confirmation screen opens. 6. Click Continue. 7. Select the Host tab. Computers are listed in the left side panel under Access REV A ViewRay, Inc.

6 Customer Release Notes Remote Connectivity 8. Highlight the desired computer. Connection and activity details for the computer are displayed. 9. Select Join from the center tool bar. o The first time you attempt to join you are required to download the ScreenConnect application. Select Download App. o When the download is complete, launch the program from your Downloads folder. ViewRay, Inc REV A 5

7 Customer Release Remote Connectivity 10. A separate window displaying the remote computer screen opens. The ScreenConnect tool bar is visible at the top of the screen. 11. You can now proceed to use the Treatment Planning system as you would if you were sitting locally REV A ViewRay, Inc.

When your remote session is completed and you wish to disconnect simply click the red X circled in the picture below to close the window and end the session. 2. In the ScreenConnect console click your username in top right corner and select Logout. ViewRay, Inc REV A 7

9 Customer Release Remote Connectivity Determine System Availability Once the computer is highlighted, you are able to see if there is an active connection, when the computer was last used, and what the screen is currently displaying. The first bar (labeled 1) indicates if there is already someone connected: green indicates that a user is connected; grey indicates no active connection. The second bar (labeled 2) indicates if the computer is online and available to access: green indicates the computer is online, grey indicates the computer is offline. Note: you can join a session that is already being accessed remotely if you want to collaborate with someone: this will not use up another license REV A ViewRay, Inc.

10 Customer Release Notes Remote Connectivity The thumbnail shows what was displayed on the screen at the time of the last update. If you are unsure that the information is current, select the Update Guest Info button to refresh the thumbnail display. The text on the right indicates how long the system has been idle, meaning, no keyboard or mouse movements. Remote Session Tools If the software ever requires a reboot then you can send a control/alt/delete command via ScreenConnect. Note: Do not remotely use the Shutdown option from the green-ball menu as this will take the system offline and you will no longer have remote access. ViewRay, Inc REV A 9

11 Customer Release Remote Connectivity There are screen capture and screen recording functionalities that come with ScreenConnect. These can be accessed with the following icons. By default any images or videos captured will be available on your local computer in C:\Users\%username%\Documents\ScreenConnect\Captures. The save location of the captures can be adjusted by click the Change Folder button. MRIdian Treatment Planning Systems run at a high resolution (1920 x 1200). If the computer you are connecting from does not support that resolution you can use the zoom tool bar to lower the zoom and allow the remote window to fit properly on your screen. The zoom can be adjusted via the icon pictured below. Known Issues 1. Certain ScreenConnect features only work when logged into MRIdian computers with the administrator account. These include: File Transfer, Chat and Annotation. 2. Multiple remote users can connect and control the same system simultaneously; however, ScreenConnect will notify the user when a remote session is already active REV A ViewRay, Inc.
