1 Informerande dokument Information Sida 1 (6) User manual Portwise Portwise is a product which you can connect from the Internet to NLLNET via an encrypted connection. The encrypted connection is required for you to be able to access resources inside NLLNET safely. Assumptions In order to use Portwise you have to sit at a computer where the user has rights to install programs, because Portwise client is installed automatically when you connect to the Portwise portal. Portwise support is not available on MAC computers. Support Support questions during the day 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. can be answered by Help desk, phone We have no ability to provide direct support (onsite technician) on computers outside the NLL s network.

2 Sida 2 (6) Login Portwise portal Open Internet Explorer and enter the address and press enter. The following screen will appear. Press Inloggning via Mobil Please enter your username and password for the network on NLLNET. When you do this you will get a temporary password sent to your mobile phone.

3 Sida 3 (6) Note! If it is the first time you log in using PortWise or if it is time to change password, please look at "Changing the password". The following screen will appear. Specify the one-time password that you received via SMS to your mobile phone and press Submit. You are now logged in using PortWise and have the following choices (depending on the permissions you have, the choices could be different). 5 Sida 5 (6) Changing password The password you use to log into the PortWise should be changed every 90 days. When it is time to change password, it will automatically force passwordchange. This happens also when you log in PortWise, for the first time. Password policy is: Minimum password length is 8 characters It must contain at least one uppercase letter It must contain at least one lowercase letter It must contain at least one number Must NOT contain Swedish characters åäöåäö Do NOT include part of your name or username Passwords can be changed at the most once per day Old passwords can t be reused until after 10 replacements Passwords must be changed within 90 days How to change password When you enter your username and password in the following screen and it is time for you to change your password, the following screen comes up.

6 Sida 6 (6) Enter your current password and new password of your choice and then press submit. If you chose a password that meets NLL password policy, then the following dialog box will appear and you will receive a one-time password through the box. As you enter the OTP and click submit, it will log you into PortWise. If you chose a password that does not meet the NLL password policy, you will come back to the first screen. It looks as follows and you have to redo everything from the beginning.
