1 Anleitung zur Installation des CPL MPO Exchange Dienst (MEC) These instructions will help you install CPL MPO exchange services. CPL MPO exchange service enables our MPO to communicate with your DMS. Download the installation file from our homepage: Example interfaces Instructions/ Explanations After opening the file INSTALL_CPL-MEC.EXE you will potentially be asked to confirm that you wish to install our program. Confirm by clicking Yes. Security first If you are asked to provide administrator log in data, please contact your administrator for help. Our installation will start with a welcome screen. Confirm by clicking next.

2 In the next window our contact data will be provided as well as a link to these instructions. Confirm by clicking next. On the interface Select Destination Location you can determine where on your computer you would like our services to be installed. The default path is C:\programs (x86)\cpl\mec\ Click on next. You can now select the start menu folder. The default folder is CPL Confirm by clicking next.

3 You can now review your chosen settings. Start the installation if you do not wish to make any changes by clicking Install. Once the installation is complete you can exit Setup by clicking Finish. After having installed MPO exchange service, installation of Microsoft.Net Framework 4.5. will start. Necessity Installing Microsoft.Net Framework 4.5. is necessary for our service to function. If you have already installed Microsoft.Net Framework 4.5. on your computer, you can exit Setup. After having installed Microsoft.Net Framework 4.5., you can complete the installation process by clicking Finish. Reboot In most cases it will be necessary to reboot your computer after installing the program to ensure our and other programs to run smoothly.

4 After having rebooted your computer, go to all programs in the start menu and find the folder CPL, then select CPL-MEC. No reboot If Microsoft.Net Framework 4.5. was already installed, please continue with the next step. Now you will potentially be asked to confirm whether our program is authorized to make changes. Security first If you are asked to provide administrator log in data, please contact your administrator for help. Administrator rights are required for our configuration program to be able to start and finish its services. Confirm by clicking yes.

5 Our interface for setting up our services will open. Enter your data from MPO here. See next screenshot. To read data for our exchange client service, you have to go to MPO Settings Add-Ons DMS-Config and activate the option Exchange Client (ON). MPO link You will now see the Exchange Client - User Name and the Exchange Client - Password. Enter this data in the fields Exchange Client User and Exchange Client Password of our MPO ExchangeClient Setup.

6 Please enter the requested information into the fields. Company name: Please enter your company name. Exchange Client User: Take this data from MPO, see previous step. Exchange Client password: Take this data from MPO, see previous step. Proxy If you aren t using a proxy, do not fill any of the proxy fields. If you are not sure whether you are using a proxy, please contact your administrator. Proxy user: Login name for the proxy Proxy password: Password for the proxy Proxy host: IP address of the proxy Proxy Port: Enter the port of the proxy. DMS-IP address: IP address for your DMS DMS port: Your DMS port DMS timeout: This is the time our program will wait to receive data from DMS. The default value is 50, i.e. 50 seconds. Log file path: The path to our log file is to be entered here; enter c: \program files (x86)\cpl\mec\ unless your administrator has asked you to enter a different path. After having entered your data, confirm by clicking Save. Restarting our services After clicking Save, the service CPL- MPO_ExchangeClient needs to be restarted. To do so click on the red stop button on the right of it and afterwards on the blue play button.

7 The button Test DMS allows you to test whether our service can communicate with your DMS via the data provided. You will receive a notification telling you whether the connection has been established successfully or has failed. If the connection fails, please double check what you entered into DMS IP Address and DMS Port. If the services were started and the DMS test was run successfully, you can click End to exit our Setup. In MPO, please enter the IP address and port from which our MEC can reach DMS. In MPO, go to Setup Add-Ons DMS-Config to do so. Enter the DMS IP address and port already used in MEC as IP address and port. Click Refresh to confirm these settings. Internet connection
