Updated March 28, How many Apple devices (approx.) does the district currently have in use? A breakdown of IPAD, Macbook, IMAC quantities, would be helpful if that s known/available. Answer: No 3. Can we bid only on the Chromebook? Answer: We will not accept a bid for Chromebooks only. 4. How has RISD procured new Apple hardware and replacement parts in the past? Direct with Apple? Answer: Procured from Apple 5. Is a site within 25 miles from RISD for imaging and staging REQUIRED or just suggested? Answer: Preferred but not Required 6. Given that the amount of devices covered under the contract is extensive and largely unknown, would RISD be willing to provide a list of all existing district assets to be covered under this contract? RISD names these types of devices on page 17 of the RFP as the following items but not limited to: desktop computers, laptops, campus and central servers, printers, scanners, other peripherals, software, and virtual desktop devices. Are there any existing criteria for current services today that RISD can share as examples. Answer: No

16 10. Please identify your current deployment processes/workflows for ipads and Macs both from an RISD team and M&A team perspective. Answer: Currently, RISD handles all Apple deployment process internally. Equipment is received, set-up, asset tagged, and deployed in house. 11. Please identify the process/workflow/deployment tasks for both ipad and Mac deployments that Apple would be responsible for executing for RISD. Answer: The vendor of choice will be required to set-up, asset tag, and deploy all new equipment. In addition, the vendor will support through the work order system all equipment in the field. 12. Will technical coaching and mentoring be delivered at a single location? If not, how many locations? Answer: Define technical coaching. 13. Please advise if RISD has a defined deployment schedule for each of the 5 years included in the RFP. If so, can RISD provide the schedule and the estimated number of ipads and estimated number of Macs that are planned for purchase in each of those 5 years? Answer: Currently we do not have a deployment plan available. 14. Does RISD provide their own asset tags or will vendor be responsible for supplying asset tags? Answer: RISD provides asset tags 15. After reviewing the spec's, is it possible to offer HP products for all non-apple devices etc. Desktop, Laptop, Server, mobile, printer, scanner... in order to standardize across the platform for ease of management and support. Answer: Yes 16. Knowing your existing equipment (s), should the vendor offer alternative technology that best suits the district? Answer: Yes 17. Would a response for overall district service/support be considered which excluded existing RISD printers and scanners? Answer: No, all legacy devices should be included in the service/support response. 18. Would a response be considered that provided only a net new device cost and service for 5-years and not service and support on existing district assets? Answer: No 19. Has RISD determined if they are releasing a Managed Print Service RFP? Answer: No, at this time no decision has been made.

17 If yes: 1. Will the new RFP remove all future purchases of printers, supplies and support service from the existing RFCSP # Computers and Service? 2. Does that mean all legacy printers/support will be removed from RFCSP # Computers and Service? 3. Does RISD know when that new Managed Print Service RFP will be released? 20. Are standard PCI Slots needed on the Standard Workstation and Performance Workstation? a. If so what will the PCI slots be used for? Answer: We will consider machines with or without PCI slots. 21. Is vpro required on all system or only select systems? Answer: Yes for all PC desktops and PC laptops 22. Do you currently have a valid LOE from Microsoft? Answer: We have one in place and are currently working with Microsoft on an update 23. Is HDMI necessary? Answer: It is required where specified in the RFCSP. 24. Is Ethernet port required on every notebook if the notebook has the capability to pxe boot via docking station or adapter? Answer: Ethernet port not required on every notebook if notebook has the capability to pxe boot via adapter. 25. For the image load on the PC(s) & Laptop(s) do you have specific version of the OS and Office and other application for each desired department under (Imaging for all Operation Systems)? Answer: PCs will run Windows 10, Apple computers are currently running El Capitan, and the current version of Office is Other applications pertinent to the performance machines include AutoCad. RISD strives to maintain a consistent base image with software added for the learning outcome desired. 26. At this point do you have any specifications (in order to provide pricing) on the Enterprise and network servers, Peripherals, Software or will it be part of the vendor s catalog pricing approval/submission? Answer: We do not have any specifications on the Enterprise and network servers, Peripherals, Software at this time. Please include pricing through the vendor s catalog.

18 27. On the pricing page there is a place for an Android Tablet, but in the specifications on page 26 the specs show to be for a Windows 10 device with i5 cpu and 4gb ram and 128gb hdd. These are not the same, which would you prefer? Answer: Our mistake the pricing sheet should say Window s tablet not android. 28. Section 2.14 Material Samples Vendor shall supply units to be used in the evaluation process prior to the submission deadline. All units must be clearly labeled including vendor name and item provided. Since some of the units have to be custom built it takes longer to meet the specs, can them be furnish for evaluation right after the submission of the bid? Please advise! Answer: All units for evaluation must be turned in by March 31 st 4:30 PM. 29. Can these custom built PC (s) be without OS, that would be a huge game changer in pricing, since the field tech (s) will put a new image load on them for different desire department. Answer: PC s may come without OS and can be imaged on-site. This is not the case for evaluation units.
