1 Updated: 11/16/15 How to query Sludge Field data using the Permitted Beneficial Use Site webpage: 1. Open the Permitted Beneficial Use Sites Map from this LINK (or copy the below link into your browser) 2. Click on the Query Biosolids Application Fields in the upper-left corner of the map window. - The Query Biosolids Application Fields dialog box will open There are several query options available through this box. Fields by Generator Query Beneficial Use Sites associated with a facility by Facility Name Fields by Site ID Query Beneficial Use Sites by the unique SiteID associated with the field Fields by Generator ID Query Beneficial Use Sites by the NPDES permit number of the Biosolid Generating Facility Fields by County Query all Beneficial Use Sites by County

2 3. QUERY APPLICATION FIELDS BY GENERATING FACILITY NAME 3a. If you know the name of the Biosolid Generating Facility, select the first option for Fields by Generator. 3b. Select the name of the treatment facility from the FACILITY is dropdown box. Ohio EPA Division of Surface Water 2

3 3c. Select the checkbox for Add result as operational layer 3d. Click APPLY Ohio EPA Division of Surface Water 3

Close the Query Biosolids Application Fields Query Box by clicking the X in the upper-right corner of the box. - The map will refocus on all of the Beneficial Use Sites associated with the Facility that you selected and should now be displayed with green polygons. - To view and export the associated tabular information skip to step 8. 5 4. QUERY APPLICATION FIELDS BY GENERATING FACILITY SITE ID 4a. If you know the Ohio EPA Site ID that is unique to the Beneficial Use Site, select the second option for Fields by SiteID. The SiteID format has the two digit county code and a five digit field identifying number separated by a hyphen. 4b. Type or select the name of the SiteID from the SITEID is dropdown box. 6 4c. Select the checkbox for Add result as operational layer 4d. Click APPLY Ohio EPA Division of Surface Water 6

Close the Query Biosolids Application Fields Query Box by clicking the X in the upper-right corner of the box. - The map will refocus on the Beneficial Use Sites that you selected and should now be displayed with green polygons. - To view and export the associated tabular information skip to step 8. 8 - 5. QUERY APPLICATION FIELDS BY GENERATING FACILITY NPDES PERMIT NUMBER 5a. If you know the Ohio EPA NPDES Permit number for a generating facility, select the third option for Fields by Generator ID. 5b. Type or select the Permit Number of the Generating Facility from the GENPERMIT is dropdown box. Ohio EPA Division of Surface Water 8

9 5c. Select the checkbox for Add result as operational layer 5d. Click APPLY Ohio EPA Division of Surface Water 9

Close the Query Biosolids Application Fields Query Box by clicking the X in the upper-right corner of the box. - The map will refocus on all of the Beneficial Use Sites associated with the Facility that you selected and should now be displayed with green polygons. - To view and export the associated tabular information skip to step 8. 11 6. QUERY APPLICATION FIELDS BY COUNTY 6a. To view all Beneficial Use Sites in a county, select the fourth option for Query by County. 5b. Type or select the county of interest from the COUNTY is dropdown box. Ohio EPA Division of Surface Water 11

12 5c. Select the checkbox for Add result as operational layer 5d. Click APPLY Ohio EPA Division of Surface Water 12

Close the Query Biosolids Application Fields Query Box by clicking the X in the upper-right corner of the box. - The map will refocus on all of the Beneficial Use Sites associated with the County that you selected and should now be displayed with green polygons. - To view and export the associated tabular information skip to step 8. 14 8. To open the table, click on the Layer List in the upper-right of the map to display a list of map layers and options. 9. Click the dropdown box to view additional layer options. Click Open Attribute Table. Ohio EPA Division of Surface Water 14

15 - A table view of the selection will be displayed at the bottom of the map window. 10. To export the table, click on Options on the table and select Export to CSV 11. You will be asked if you wish to export this table to CSV, if you are ready to generate the file, click the OK button to download the file. Navigate to where the file was saved and open with Microsoft Excel. The Columns in the Table are: COUNTY: County Associated with Beneficial Use Site SITEID: Unique Ohio EPA ID Number associated with Beneficial Use Site EXTFIELDID: Unique identification given to a beneficial use site by the generating facility or beneficial user GENPERMIT: Generating Facility Ohio EPA NPDES Permit Number FACILITY: Generating Facility Name CPLR: Cumulative Pollutant Loading Rate. Yes = total amount of metals applied at the beneficial use site must be tracked COMPLAINT: Yes = Complaint investigation has been performed at the beneficial use site Ohio EPA Division of Surface Water 15
