Configuring the Teamify add-on

1 For Confluence Server installs of Teamify, network administrators will need to allow access to the domain teamifyhome.com for all PCs and the Confluence Server accessing Teamify. Configuring the Teamify add-on Once the Teamify add-on has been installed into your Confluence Cloud instance, it can be configured by selecting the Teamify add-on listing on the Manage add-ons page and then configured by selecting the Teamify add-on listing on the Manage add-ons page and then clicking on the Configure button, or by clicking the "Configuration" link under Teamify Add-On from the left navigation menu. You will then be presented with the following page: 1

2 Account configuration The Account Configuration section refers to your Clarity4D Web Service details you will have been provided by Clarity4D. If you do not already have a Clarity4D account you can sign-up by clicking the "Register" link. This will open a popup to allow you to provide an and password to create an account. Clicking the "Sign-up" button will create an account giving you an account number (remember this). The User Mapping section is a way to allows users in Confluence, who might have signed up to Clarity4D under a different address to their Confluence one, to view their Clarity4D profile. 3 Viewing of your own personal Clarity4D profile using Teamify Now that Teamify is installed and configured, a user can view there own Clarity4D profile by going directly to their Confluence profile. Where upon they will see the following in the top right of their Confluence profile: 3

4 Viewing of the Clarity4D profile of the original author of a Confluence page When navigating through Confluence it is also possible to view the Clarity4D profile of the original author (though not subsequent editors) of the particular page you are on. This is so you can gain some insight into the kind of person, who write the page in the first place, is. Here is a screenshot of this functionality in action: 4

5 Using the Team Planning macro One of the great features about the Teamify add-on is that it allows you to create combined Clearity4D Team Profiles via an embedded Confluence macro. This way, you can build up a complete picture of the distributed personality composition among your team. Once the macro has been selected, the following macro edit screen is displayed. In this example one user called Administrator has been searched for (via the username admin ) and added to the team profile to the right of the screenshot. However many more users can be added to the team profile. As they are added, the Teamify Profile changes with every addition to reflect the overall personality of the team as a whole. Users can be removed by high-lighting them in the list and then clicking on them. Here is a screenshot of the macro edit screen and the resulting macro in the Confluence page: 5

6 Using the Team Planning macro cont. When searching for users in the team planning macro dialog it is possible to view an individuals graph prior to adding them to the Teamify macro by hovering over the users name shown in the dropdown menu when searching. Hovering off will return the graph to its original data. Clicking to add the user will update the graph to show the new averaged values. 6

7 When the macro is displayed on a confluence page the talking points are displayed to the right of the chart (below the chart on smaller screens). The talking points displayed alongside a team macro are generated specific to the averaged values for the entire team, and will even show new talking points on a page refresh. 7

8 Server version of Teamify only onhover macro is a macro already in use in many confluence instances, however with the Teamify plugin if is possible to quickly view the mentioned users clarity4d profile simply by hovering your cursor over the users name used format. Only the graph for the users profile is shown, however clicking on the users name will take you to their profile which will also show talking points. 8

9 Data Usage Policy Clearvision requires your username and password for an external system. Your information will be stored securely on Clearvision s server. Storing this information on Clearvision s server negates the requirement for plain text transfers, whether by an administrator or otherwise. Clearvision restricts access to its servers to administrators only. Usernames and passwords are stored in a reversible format without compromising security. Information is not shared without prior written consent. All information is securely stored by Amazon and covered by industry standard practices and protocols. 9

10 Error Messages This is seen when the administrator first visits the configuration page after installing the add-on. The Confluence administrator must provide the username and password for a Clarity4D account so that the Clarity4D data is available in Teamify. This message is seen if the confluence administrator has not provided the Clarity4D credentials for the Teamify add-on. These credentials should be provided on the <confluence url>/wiki/plugins/servlet/ac/clearvisionteamify/teamify-configure-page. This page can be found by going to Confluence Administration > Add-Ons > Teamify > Configure. Any Confluence pages that are auto-generated as part of the Confluence install process will have an author listed as Anonymous. There will be no data available for anonymous users. 10

11 Error Messages cont. This error is seen when viewing the profile of a user who has two Clarity4D profiles for . In most cases this will require the deletion or change of one of the profiles s on the C4D back-end. 11
