1 L- H Fifh Graders It s &me to create the Class of 2013 LINCOLN- HUBBARD YEARBOOK! This is YOUR yearbook, a keepsake to celebrate and remember Lincoln- Hubbard School in your own special way. It s created for YOU and by YOU and your 5 th GRADE CLASSMATES! The yearbooks are distributed to all 5 th graders on the last day of school. At the top of your Personal Page, we will be including a photo we take of you at school and the answer to one or all of the following quesnons. The books will include pages for autographs from your friends and teachers. What We Need From You (with your parents help) What We Need What Does That Mean? Format Personal Page Answers A 7.5 (Wide) x 8.5 (high) Personal Page that you create. This page is all about you. BUT, You MUST Follow These Guidelines on your Personal Page: Create your 7.5 (wide) x 8.5 (high) page verncally, NOT horizontally. Use ONE page. ONE side only. See Examples on Page 3. Include your FIRST and LAST NAME. Include at least ONE photo of yourself. Feel free to use bright colors to decorate it. The final page will be a color page. 2 How To Make Your Yearbook Personal Page We are asking that all Personal Page files for the yearbook be submi\ed electronically as JPEGs (saved as 300 dpi) or PDFs and sent by . However, if you are unable to scan your page or submit it electronically, please contact us, and we will help you and/or make alternapve arrangements. IDEAS FOR CREATING YOUR PERSONAL PAGE Naming your file: Your personal page file should be named with the student s last name followed by first name (i.e. smithjohn.pdf or smithjohn.jpeg) Designing your page: The 7.5 wide x 8.5 (high) page can be designed ennrely on a computer (using programs like pages, Word, KidPix, etc. plus scanned images) OR you can decorate it by hand and cut and paste pictures or poems and then scan the document into your computer. Then, it to us as a JPEG. 3 Examples Your Personal Page HEADER... When we receive your page, we ll add your name, class portrait, and answers to the top of the page. Please allow 1.75 of space at the top of your 8.5 x11 sheet of paper. See the template on the next page. THE REST OF THE PAGE... is all yours! Please fit your page within a space that is 7.5 (wide) x 8.5 (high). This will give us the margins we need on the sides and bottom of the page.

5 What Photos We Need From You 1 baby picture of your child (REQUIRED); newborn to age 1. 1 current picture of your child (REQUIRED); your favorite picture in any semng. MANY PAST and CURRENT candid pictures of your child and classmates enjoying LH shared experiences.* Try to submit different photos than those used by your child on his/her yearbook page. *Please note we will collect thousands of candid photos but not all pictures will be used. How To Submit Photos L- H Fifh Grade Parents It s &me to create the Class of 2013 Memories Through Music DVD A special part of the Lincoln Hubbard graduanon ceremony is the Memories to Music DVD. This DVD captures the students in a variety of semngs throughout their years at LH. To make this happen, we NEED PHOTOS! To streamline the photo collecnon process, we will use a service called Dropbox to upload pictures. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. Here s how it will work. Do not do anything unnl you receive an with the heading ChrisPne Hayward wants to share your child s name with you. It is in this folder that you will drop all of your photos. To make it easier to upload, consider first creanng a folder of all the pictures that you like on your desktop. Having all the pictures you are going to submit in one place will make the upload to Dropbox quicker. Read the a\ached instrucnons and have them in hand when you begin to upload. Dropbox will require you to create an account. The instrucnons for creanng an account are listed on the following pages. Please know that it is not necessary to download the Dropbox applicapon to your desktop to successfully upload photos. When Do I Upload? Everything Is due by Thursday, March 28 QUESTIONS?
