As a result, PLANBAR is now more reliable. We updated the help. We updated the links on the Welcome Screen. Managing data (projects, drawing files and layouts) Project names can only include specific characters. When entering an invalid character, you will see a list of all invalid characters. Allplan Share, Workgroup Online You can use Rename to delete the names of empty drawing files. We enhanced Allplan Share, making it more reliable. In addition, Allplan Share now runs faster. Allplan Share no longer downloads JPG files for macros repeatedly. The Show Bimplus model tool is available again. You can use a local data path with more than 80 characters. You can use the Save and Upload tool ( File menu or program icon on the Quick Access Toolbar) to save and upload data to Allplan Share or the FTP server at any time. 2 Layers The ARCHITECTURE - Room category includes two new layers: RO_RO2 (other rooms) and RO_STOR2 (other stories). Libraries - PythonParts, SmartParts We enhanced PythonParts in various places. You can edit PythonParts with fixtures. You can use UNC paths in PythonPart files. Using Unlink Smart Symbol, you can resolve the structure of PythonParts. As a result, you can edit the design entities individually. We enhanced panic hardware for door SmartParts in 2D and 3D. The program always places panic hardware correctly even if you change the values for rabbet and frame thickness. User interface Upon exit, the program saves the most recent configuration of the user interface to the LastConfiguration_2018.ubx file in the local user folder. We added a number of tools to the Quick Access Toolbar so that you no longer need to show the menu bar or select tools on the menus. The Quick Access Toolbar includes the new Default Settings tool. Using its dropdown list, you can open the Options and Defaults tools. The Quick Access Toolbar includes the new Edit tool. Using its dropdown list, you can open the following tools: Cut, Copy, Paste and Paste to Original Position (from the Edit menu) Copy to Clipboard (from the View menu) and Save Contents of Viewport as a Bitmap... (from the File menu). We moved these tools from the dropdown list of the View tool to the dropdown list of the Edit tool. Paste Contents... (from the Edit menu) Link, XRef, Custom XRef, Bitmap Area and Object (from the Insert menu) Edit Linked Objects... and Modify OLE Objects (from the Edit menu) Changes in the dropdown list of the View tool: We moved Copy to Clipboard and Save Contents of Viewport as a Bitmap... to the dropdown list of the Edit tool. We moved Full Screen to the dropdown list of the Window tool. Responding to customer feedback, we adjusted the positions of tools on the Actionbar. The tools in the Quick Access task area of the Actionbar change with the task, adapting to the task at hand. You can set the spacing between the icons on the Actionbar using the Customize dialog box - Actionbar tab. Actionbar configuration: The Switch modules automatically option has no effect when you double-click an element with the right mouse button. We adjusted the info text of this option. You can edit plug-ins and add-ons using Actionbar Configurator. You can enlarge Actionbar Configurator by clicking and dragging one of its sides or corners. An Actionbar must not include groups of the same name. When you copy a group, it automatically gets the name Copy-NameOfGroup. You can then rename the group. Tasks will not be deleted until you confirm a prompt. You can find the modification tools not only on the shortcut menu of the object but also in the Change and Edit task areas. The Quick Access task area is no longer a fixed area. Instead, the tools in the Quick Access task area change with the task at hand. Layout Editor task: The Quick Access task area includes all tools you need to edit layouts. Using Customize User Interface..., you can specify the spacing between tools and flyouts - from Very small to Large. You can define the size of the role icon in Customize User Interface.... We enhanced the behavior of flyouts in collapsed task areas: Click the icon to select the tool. Click the icon and keep the mouse button pressed down to open the flyout menu. Pointing to the arrow displays a line dividing the icon into two parts: the icon itself and the remaining area around the arrow, which gets a darker color. Click in this area to open the flyout menu. Flyouts in collapsed task areas are separated by lines (separators). We renamed the following tasks: PLANBAR / TIM SR Description Page 2 of 8

3 The new name of Labeling is Label. The new name of Collaboration is Teamwork. We added the following new task areas: Axis Grid (for creating and editing axis grids; included in the Design task) 2D Areas (for creating and editing 2D surface elements; included in the Design task) Update (for updating architectural elements and labels; included in the Elements, Finish, Modeling, Label and Engineering Structures tasks) Paragraph (for creating and editing paragraph text; included in the Label task) Boolean Operators (for combining and editing solids; included in the Modeling task) Reports, Legends (for defining and editing reports and legends; included in the User-defined Objects task) Label Styles (for defining, editing and managing label styles; included in the User-defined Objects task) Room Group (for creating and editing room groups; included in the Finish task) Interior Finish (combines various tools for creating and editing interior finishes; included in the Finish task) Railing ( Finish task) We added the new Work Environment task area, which is a fixed area: This task area combines various tools for setting up the work environment, such as System Angle, Rotated Plan View, Work Plane or Reference Scale. In previous versions, you could find these tools in different places. In addition, the Work Environment task area includes all the tools you could find in the former Selection task area. We reworked all task areas, adding suitable tools or resorting the tools. Most of these enhanced features are the results of your feedback and comments, regardless of whether you posted on the forum, contacted technical support or sent s. The 3D Design task area is no longer available. You can now find all its tools in the 3D Objects task area. In addition, we removed the Building Alteration, Reference, Structural Analysis and Check task areas, moving all tools to other suitable task areas. We enhanced import and export in various ways: The export of multi-layer walls to Bimplus is now in compliance with IFC. Import ignores Bimplus attributes that cannot be processed by PLANBAR. Consequently, PLANBAR no longer issues messages indicating this. Bimplus correctly displays the heights of multilayer walls created in PLANBAR. Bimplus uses the IFC schema to export reinforcement to PLANBAR. The Task Board palette opens more rapidly. You can find the new Import IFC 4 Data tool in the dropdown list of the program icon or on the File menu - Import. This tool imports data in the following formats: IFC 4, IFC XML 4, IFC 2x3 and IFC XML 2x3. The new interface offers numerous advantages: You can import IFC 4 and IFC 2x3 formats. We enhanced performance and quality. The most important IFC objects from architecture will be imported as corresponding PLANBAR elements; all other objects will be imported as user-defined architectural elements for the time being. You can import data into an existing or empty building structure. You can assign IFC attributes to PLANBAR components during import. In earlier versions, this was only possible during export. The import log provides more information: Elements that cannot be transferred are sorted by IFC object type and listed with their internal IDs. We recommend using the new interface for importing IFC data. However, you can use the conventional interface if you are not satisfied with the result produced by the new interface. Sills are correct when you import openings in freeform walls using the conventional interface. All attributes are available when you reimport IFC data created in PLANBAR and edited in other programs. We enhanced IFC import of wall openings with circular shapes and radial reveals. We enhanced IFC import of roof elements using the conventional interface. 4 We enhanced import of custom columns. You can import columns with more than 18 corners. You can create a building structure while importing IFC data or later. Hollow profiles retain their original element types during IFC import. The export log provides more information. Elements that cannot be transferred are sorted by problem category and IFC object type and listed with the Name and Allright_Component_ID attributes. The Support freeform geometry (NURBS) option is no longer available for exporting data in IFC 2x3 format. We enhanced IFC export of openings using the new interface. We enhanced IFC import and export of circular columns and facades. PLANBAR provides the following IFC default attributes in German: 1959 GrossPlannedArea - gross area in accordance with space allocation plan 1960 NetPlannedArea - net area in accordance with space allocation plan We enhanced the format of the unique IFCID, making it possible to export data to Orca. We enhanced IFC export to Solibri, which displays and assigns the Material and Name attributes correctly. We enhanced DWG import of volume solids delimited by curves (for example, cylinders). They will be imported as 3D solids. We enhanced DWG import of 3D volume solids. We enhanced DWG import of extruded 3D elements. Larger areas will be imported as B-reps. We enhanced DWG import of special AutoCAD data with block references on hidden layers. We enhanced import of nested blocks from AutoCAD. PLANBAR issues a message if it cannot import some 3D objects from DWG files. We enhanced and sped up export of PLANBAR data with the same bitmaps, reducing the data volume. You can import and export data using the new AutoCAD 2018 file format DWG2018. Dimension text of dimension lines drawn with the Direct option will be exported correctly to DWG format, regardless of the direction in which the dimension lines were entered. We enhanced DWG export of user-defined architectural elements as B-reps. You can import DXF files with scanned images in JPF format. We enhanced import of 3D objects from DXF files. Using the Export CPIXML Data tool, you can export the exposure classes for the visible and invisible sides of a wall, separated by a comma, under the Exposure class tag. Modeling We enhanced the 3D Curve from Axis and Gradient tool. You can now use a composite element for the axis and a polyline for the gradient. We enhanced the use of 3D splines as paths in Sweep Path. Extrude Along Path tool: We increased the precision for curve elements with great radii displayed in views and sections and in animation. We updated the Parasolid modeling kernel integrated in PLANBAR to version PS Basic features You can use the Export Quantities Data tool ( File menu Export ) in the private project. The With comparison dialog option is no longer selected by default. You can find this option in the Import Attributes and Import Quantities Data tools. This speeds up import, as the dialog box can take some time to open, in particular with large projects. The Modify Offset tool measures the distance between lines correctly, displaying the result in the dialog line. Labeling PLANBAR retains the font when you delete text using the text editor. Attributes The TBM attribute groups are visible again. The Material, Code text and Name attributes are correct when you export attributes using Export Attributes, change the attributes and then import the attributes again using Import Attributes. Reports provide up to 110 characters for the Code text attribute. Views, Sections You can deselect and reselect reference drawing files (without section objects) without this changing the view or section. PLANBAR / TIM SR Description Page 4 of 8

5 Reinforcement views PLANBAR correctly updates and displays an associative view with a labeled vertical surface after you have moved this view. You no longer need to reload the data using Reorganize Drawing Files. You can snap to points on corners and edges of polygonal, converted user-defined architectural elements in associative views. Layouts You can save a layout structure as a favorite. We sped up and enhanced export of layouts including voluminous bitmap areas. In particular, this applies when the quality of bitmaps is set to low. Specific layout elements with fixtures load as rapidly as in earlier versions. Options The preview includes the correct Unit set in the Options - Reinforcement - Label. Precast elements in general: When you copy precast elements to another drawing file with different height settings, the mark numbers of the copied precast elements do not change. You can analyze attributes with special indexes (special index = 0) for custom attributes. We changed the options 1 and 2 for calculating the weight. This applies to all precast elements (slabs, walls, structural precast elements and iparts). Previous versions calculated the steel weight from the reinforcement layers only. Now PLANBAR takes all layers into account. Note: When you calculate the net volume of concrete using option 2, the program still subtracts the steel volume from reinforcement layers only. We enhanced performance of various tools (for example, Fixture or List Generator ) applied to identical precast elements of complex geometry (for example, many openings of circular shape). Catalogs, configurations: Recesses entered with Model Precast Elements can be marked with a separate symbol in views of structural precast elements, iparts. To do this, you can use the Recesses option in the Symbols in drawing area on the Symbols tab. Select this option if you want to mark recesses with a separate symbol in the corresponding view. To dimension the recesses using separate recess dimension lines, you can use the Recesses option in the Geometry area on the Dimensioning tab. When you select this option, you can choose between Dimension together and Dimension separately, thus defining whether you want to dimension the recesses using a common dimension line or separate dimension lines. When you choose to create recess dimension lines, PLANBAR does not include the dimensions of the recesses when dimensioning the panel edge. Note: The same options are available for dimensioning recesses in sections. The layout catalog includes additional layouts for the rotated production direction of walls created with Wall Element Design. You can dimension reinforcing bars in sections of structural precast elements, iparts. The settings and options are the same as those for views. MEP assistant: We reworked the way the program calculates the reference point of the smart symbol defining the position of the fixture. Precast slab: The dialog box for defining supports for half floors includes icons for saving and loading favorites. Precast wall: Walls created with Wall Element Design : When you set the Reinforcement type to Loose for lattice girders on the Lattice girders, connecting elements tab, you can now define how to install the lattice girders in the More lattice girder parameters dialog box. The new Position of lattice girders parameter provides the above 1st layer cross bars (same as the previous PLANBAR / TIM SR Description Page 5 of 8

6 option) and with1st layer longitudinal bars options. Note: If you want to use this new option for creating production data, you must change the settings accordingly. Should you have any questions, please contact Technical Support. Element plan: The page numbers in element plans are correct even when you use itriggers. Secondary reinforcement (bar reinforcement, mesh reinforcement): After you have moved some bars in a placement, the Reinforcement schedule - bending shapes report and Bar schedule - bending shapes legend, which is not associative, output the number of bars correctly. 2D area reinforcement: After you have placed bars as points in a section, you can place a copied bar using the Place Bar Shape tool. After you have applied the Stretch Entities tool, the program correctly updates the labels of 2D bars placed linearly in point mode. After you have modified a placement using handles, you can use Modify Placement Display Mode without any problems. If several instances of area reinforcement include the same mark, reports and non-associative legends output the length of the mark correctly as a number. Reports and non-associative legends output the values of bars placed in polygon correctly. Reports and non-associative legends output reinforcement from version 2016 and earlier correctly when you placed the reinforcement per meter and changed its length afterwards. We updated and enhanced BARON-C couplers. BARON-C end anchorage couplers of type E come with correct short texts and long texts. We corrected the additional bar of 40 mm. We corrected the Short name parameter of the BARON-C end anchorage coupler of type AF with a diameter of 30 mm. The Mesh reinforcement.rdlc report includes and analyzes the number of bars you changed using Modify Mark. Intersected bars selected in a section appear in the selection color. Legends do not change when you move schema bars of reinforcement data converted from version 2016 to the current version. After you have deleted a placement, reports and legends still include bent-up meshes of which you have created a schema and changed the number of pieces using Modify Mark. Formwork: You can move formwork elements in a view created with the Create Exploded View tool. To do this, click the new Move formwork elements from exploded view tool. Select the required shuttering board(s) and move the board(s) to a new position. This does not move the formwork elements in the model. We revised the Formwork elements w. graphics legend: You can now output this legend as a non-associative legend. The graphics no longer include nailers and other fixtures. The graphics are now centered. Using Edit Element, you can split up a shuttering board in all views. Plug-ins: We changed the reference scale for the plug-in developed by the Filigran company. Using this reference scale, you can display lattice girders and other girders in a detailed or simplified manner. The limit is now at a scale of 1:49 instead of 1:25. International versions: We enhanced support of right-to-left scripts. You can use a registry key for activation. When you set BS 8666 for calculating the bar length and mesh length, the program calculates the bar length of area reinforcement correctly in labels and schemas. When you make changes, the program always updates the bar length in labels and schemas correctly. The Reinforcement schedule - British Standard (English) and Stabliste British Standard (German) reports analyze the total bar length correctly. Reports in other languages will be included in the next hotfix. Chinese version: You can select Python Parts in the project library even when the project name includes Chinese characters. 7 DWG export does not change fonts if a line includes several fonts. Austrian version: Loops of reinforcement meshes are visible in cross-section catalogs, isometric views and animation. All Dutch reports are available after installation. India: The program considers the variant bending pin diameter for reinforcing bars that are greater than 25 mm.
