Create 8 icons that stylistically relate as a design system. Start first with research, then sketch out content and form, then refine digitally creating 8 icons in comprehensive form. Select four of your best to present on a letter sized laser print as your final. 4 Assignment 4~ Magazine Layout Create two, DOUBLE spread magazine layouts (4 pages)that visually show your stylistic approach to representing ideas obtained in an interview of a classmate. The copy content will be researched and written by you. The art that accompanies the text can be illustration, or photos, or combinations of vector, bitmaps and photos. The subject content should be about them. The article is intended to be fictitiously published in a print magazine. Conceptually, the layout should convey text and image about the person being interviewed with suggested emphasis on their artistic creativity or interests. [imagery and text that depicts content about classmate(s), structured into two Magazine Spreads] [inclusion of typography as an integrated part of the visual surface and conceptual message: style, proportions, and quantity. Includes accurate key elements: headline, byline, page numbers, publication name, publication date, pull quote, {optional: sub heads, captions, credits, initial cap.} Article text has paragraph formating. 5 Assignment 5~ Typography Website Design and create a mini website on typography... The site will have one page with four sections: intro or top section, a section featuring a type designer, a section featuring a type style or font, and a section featuring type theory. Links will jump from one section to another. Use CSS and Dreamweaver software to construct continuous style elements within HTML pages. Use both web text and image typography. Conceptually the layout should convey your understanding of typography/css/ web convention/ and design.
