2 Premium Software Basics The system, configuration, parameters, and settings menus do not have significant differences from Chairside/inLab. No Generic Machines setting Materials: to verify available materials, look under Configuration/Settings/Favorite Materials. * Working on updating FAQs and 19821, but will take time. But this is a quick way to check available materials in your software if needed.

3 ADMINISTRATION PHASE Extremely similar to inlab 15 (and also chairside 4.2/4.3). Work from right to left on the screen. No Model indication type.

4 SCAN PHASE Same as inlab/chairside. Add catalogs as needed. Cut tool.

5 MODEL PHASE Automation of steps Chairside users will not be used to this. All automated steps can be reset, and manually completed if necessary/desired. No Red/Green lines. Scroll bar to move along the step menu (customers have seemed confused by this). Models open on Edit Model Screen. Same tools and options as chairside. Buccal Registration will happen automatically for Omni if scan quality allows. Model Axis is the same as chairside (one jaw).

7 EDIT JAW LINE Edit Jaw Line pinpoints sections of the model with greater accuracy. This assists the automated model steps and helps with the alignment of the final proposal. Blue dots should be positioned as follows: Center Line/Midline Between the canine and the first bicuspid Between the second bicuspid and the first molar At the end of the model Move the teeth numbers to the center of the corresponding preparation areas or the auto Trim will be inaccurate (Reset if needed).

8 TRIM AREA Auto trim. Reset and complete manually if needed. This example shows a bad trim created by a jaw line that was set incorrectly. The tooth number was not centered on the prep. Note how the prepped tooth is cut away.

9 DRAW MARGIN Automated draw feature Shoulder Rest can be adjusted (green line above margin). It can be toggled off or on. If turned on, it will stay on for next case Suggested to draw on prep just above internal shoulder area. Spacer starts at green line area and goes up. User will need to know how to adjust, but for very round files may want to be higher to stop rotation of the final crown or frame.

10 DEFINE INSERTION AXIS Insertion axis is set the same as with inlab using the target box. User must set all IA's for any restorations in file. The adjustable hull size allows user to make larger/smaller to see size of actual restoration and plan accordingly.

11 DESIGN PHASE Functions exactly like inlab 15. Tools and options are all familiar. See FAQ for info on Smile Design. User is responsible for setting parameters to suit their needs.

12 MORPHOLOGY Options vary depending on the type of restoration and what area of the mouth it is in. Posteriors: Bio generic = Bio Individual. SW makes crown to look like surrounding anatomy. Tooth DB (database) allows user to choose from a list of manufacturers and then a list of possible tooth shapes. (If they don't like the given proposal, this might be an option for them.) Anteriors: the user will have the "tooth shape" option as well as the Tooth DB.

13 POSITIONING Similar to the Bio Jaw feature in chairside. Use Position and Rotate and Scale tools as needed. Uncheck the adapted proposal option if desired. Continue to Edit Restoration to use tools just as in chairside or inlab.

14 PRODUCE Mill from this screen, noting correct instrument selection/setup for the material type. Export to Cam for milling of multiple units. Software will ask if you want to export all restorations in the file if they are complete. Export to folder Tests confirm that exporting.stl files is not an option with this software.

15 PREMIUM CAM Chairside users may be unfamiliar with the concept of stacked milling. Process allows for milling multiple restorations out of one block. It also allows user to mill out of a partial block. Selections in the designing software need to reflect the correct final material.

16 PREMIUM CAM Nearly identical to inlab CAM. Does allow import/production of Veneers and Inlay/Onlay restoration types. Software opens to a list of created blanks (blocks). To being a case, click on New Job.

17 COLLECT Check the box next to each restoration to be produced. The material needs to be selected correctly in the Premium Software before it is exported to CAM. Any restorations selected in the collect phase must use the same material type.

18 SELECT BLANK If user has an existing blank to be used for the job, put a check mark in the box to select the existing blank. If user needs to add a new blank, click the New Blank button.

19 NEW BLANK Select the block manufacturer (Note that user does not have the option to choose Misc. materials.) Select the material name. Choose a production method (milling/grinding). Choose the blank size. User can create a name for the blank to help identify it if desired (The main purpose of this would be to keep track of how much material remains to be used for a future job.) Click the Check mark to save the blank. Once blank is saved, check the box to select it. Proceed forward to Arrange.

20 ARRANGE View the restorations in the block. Add or remove restoration using the plus and minus signs. Access the Job Design Parameters if needed.

21 PRODUCE Ensure the correct instruments are installed and selected for the material and production method selected.

22 ITEMS TO NOTE: Premium Software is geared towards advanced users. Most of the options that the typical office wants to utilize will be available through the regular chairside program. Premium software has only subtle differences from inlab/chairside. Some steps/features adhere closely to inlab others to chairside.
