3 2. WP2 activities since JA1 aired on youtube.com No major activities to be reported have taken place since the completion of the HTA film on youtube.com last year. Ministry of Health of Spain may have some issues viewing the entire film on youtube.com and will be looking into the technicalities. 3. Wikipedia update Some countries have responded to AMY's request on the status of HTA explanation in Wikipedia for the respective languages. The links below are provided. Please feel free to update the table and send it back to AMY asap. Julia commented that in the view of the JA2 starting in a four months the structure and content of the EUnetHTA description in Wikipedia could be reviewed by JA2 WP2. Preparation of the Final Report JA1 and the contributions of WP2 what has been done from the launch of of JA1 going back to the initial points The instructions for the final report preparation will be sent by the Secretariat in the fall. Each Work Package is to deliver the report for the WP activities by January 15, Questions from WP6 linked to JA2 public website and social networks Here are Patrice Chalon s from KCE comments: JA1 WP6: preparation of JA2 Websites 2

4 ================================= WP6 received a new task to prepare JA2: renewing the websites (since the current system is not any browser compliant). A task force has been established to support this task, the task force is composed of a representative of all LP and CLP (both JA1 and JA2) + secretariat and WP6. Surveys have been conducted to identify the user requirements, interview of secretariat have been also conducted. The provider for the public site has been selected, development will start following the plan, website will be available on the 1 st of January Link between Public site and Social networks: information and comments form WP6 ================================================================= Public site functionalities: Comments Add to any tool is available when viewing a page: a user can share the link to any social network (Twitter, LinkedIn, FaceBook ) Movies (YouTube ) or Slideshows (slideshare, ) can be embedded on the website RSS will be available from the website WP6 suggests that JA1 WP2 delivers a best practice document regarding the use of social media by / for EUnetHTA (including advice for partners employees). WP6 suggests that JA1 WP2 shares the JA1 communication plan with JA2 WP2 and suggests some update based on the experience gained during JA1. All channels should be listed and how to best use them should be described (who, what when). 7. Other: Nothing added. 3

8 LinkedIn group- HTA in Europe CONTEXT EUnetHTA aims at supporting contact and information exchange between European agencies; EUnetHTA also counts a stakeholder forum where umbrella associations are represented. At EUnetHTA level, no tool exists to allow exchange of ideas or information with individuals not belonging to EUnetHTA. LinkedIn is an international professional networking platform, it offers a group tool; several groups already exist in the field of HTA, but none dedicated to HTA in Europe OBJECTIVES The objective of this group is 1. To increase awareness of EUnetHTA 2. To share news about HTA in Europe, including news from EUnetHTA 3. To help people interested by HTA in Europe to be connected through LinkedIn To host discussions about HTA issues in general and HTA developments in Europe. HTA in Europe group is not intended to advertise services. COORDINATION This group is created and managed by EUnetHTA; the views expressed in this forum are the responsibility of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of EUnetHTA WP2 members and the Secretariat will monitor the Discussion Board on a regular basis, and when necessary, they will forward some questions among the EUnetHTA partners with a request to answer. 1

9 MEMBERS CONTENT The group is a private group: people need to request membership and be approved by the managers of the group. The group is intended to all person with interest for HTA in Europe, e.g.: Individuals from EUnetHTA partners and associates; and from other agencies individuals from the European Commission, academic institutions, health providers, patients, individuals from the industry, from consulting companies, individuals from other HTA associations etc. Discussions EUnetHTA News: gathered automatically through RSS feed of the EUnetHTA website News from EUnetHTA partners websites: gathered automatically from the EUnetHTA News aggregator Discussions started by WP2 members to attract interest of group members Discussions started by group members themselves Members List of individuals registered to the group HTA in Europe can be used as a potential platform in finding partners for common projects (e.g. through starting a discussion) Promotions This option will not be activated, all communication goes through the discussions Jobs This option will not be activated, the group is not intended to forward jobs Subgroups No sub group is foreseen COMMUNICATION News through the EUnetHTA channels (MO site news, MO newsletter) to support registration of EUnetHTA members Promotion tool (EUnetHTA website (+ specific page) Advertisement of HTA related events 2
