1 Installation of IvAp for Prepar3D Version 4.x How to install IvAp in Prepar3Dv4 You need the following files: File #1:: FSUIPC5.dll (Download FSUIPC5.x from this site non-licensed works ) File #2:: SimConnect.msi {C67A3A1B-F52B-42CC-85E A09312} >> this file is in your P3Dv4 folder x:\p3d4\redist\interface\fsx-sp2-xpack\retail\lib\ File #3:: the usual file from IVAO >> ivap-v2.0.2-b2773.exe Assuming you created on a specific disk and/or installation folder for your Prepar3D version 4... say F:/P3D4/ where F: is the root of your P3D4 installation DISK (thus drive F) and where /P3D4/: is the root of your P3D4 installation FOLDER (thus folder /P3D4/). Now first define yours... Before you go: do not install IvAp in the folder... \P3D4\... Before you go: do not install IvAp in the folder... \Program Files (x86) \... Install File #1: check before installation if a previous installation of version FSUIPC5.x is already present in the... /Modules folder, then you can skip this step 1, else install File #1 (FSUIPC5 - non-licensed works). Install File #2: SimConnect.msi (right mouse on the filename and install as administrator). Then: Create a copy of the file Prepar3D.exe (it's in the root of your P3D4 installation folder) Then rename this copy into fsx.exe and leave it in the root of your P3D4 installation folder. Install File #3: Right mouse clicks the file ivap-v2.0.2-b2773.exe and install as usual and (of course) as administrator in the root of your P3D4 installation _disk. Follow the images hereafter. 3 Select Single PC Now watch: you must use the selected the upper line Flight Simulator x Installed in: press Browse and find the folder where you created a copy of prepar3d.exe renamed as fsx.exe Do not use the lower possibility Prepar 3D: FS Eindhoven KLM december

4 You now get the correct path to install: Ignore the Setup warning and press OK FS Eindhoven KLM december

5 By default the MTL installer will run don t worry press Next Select as indicated, press Next FS Eindhoven KLM december

6 Say No to install FSUIPC because you did already install FSUIPC5, press Next Review the installation path, don t change, press Next. This folder is created by the installation, so do not create this folder manually; just install in the root of your P3D4 installation disk FS Eindhoven KLM december

7 You get a shortcut forget it press Next. If you need to install TeamSpeak2, check the box then press Next else press Next. FS Eindhoven KLM december

8 Ready to install the version you read here represents the properties of the previous copy of prepar3d.exe and which you renamed into fsx.exe; press Next. Installing FS Eindhoven KLM december

9 Press Next Almost ready To stop the installation of the MTL press OK and then Exit The IvAo MTL will not work anyway and we will come up with a solution for that. FS Eindhoven KLM december

11 IvAp Configuration Since the transponder codes can only be set in standby position, don't forget to check in IvAp v2 - Configuration Enable IvAp <-> FSUIPC SDK in the section 3rd Party Tools. See picture below. Adding the IVAO_MTL entry in simobjects.cfg Open the file simobjects.cfg in C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\ Add this text: [Entry.10] <<<< or any subsequent number Title=IVAO MTL Path=SimObjects\IVAO_MTL Required=False Active=True Save the file and check the presence of the foldername in... \SimObjects Do not make any additions or changes to the dll.xml since IvAp will be started in another way as follows: FS Eindhoven KLM december

12 NOW START THE SIM Manual Starting IvAp: Press your Windows key and go to the folder IVAO\ Select the icon IvAp v2 - External More and Run as administrator. 2nd (better) option: right mouse clicks the icon IvAp v2 - External and Add to Start, then open file location, select properties and check in the compatibility tab: Run as administrator. After making CONNection and submitting your flight plan (ACARS-SEND FLIGHTPLAN) you will be visible in Webeye. Your flight results will be registered in the IVAO database. If you want IvAp to be started by the sim Add the following statement into the exe.xml. This exe.xml file resides in: C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\ Open the exe.xml with Notepad++ and add to the end of the file, JUST BEFORE </SimBase.Document> these 6 lines: <Launch.Addon> <Name>IvAp for P3D4</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Path>F:\IvAp v2\ivap_dllhost.exe</path> <CommandLine>ivap_fsx.dll</CommandLine> </Launch.Addon> Adapt your path (not the filename) of your IvAp v2 installation as in <Path>F:\IvAp v2\ivap_dllhost.exe</path> Do not change the CommandLine statement FS Eindhoven KLM december

13 Save the file and then run the sim. You will find IvAp as normal in your Add-ons menu together with FSUIPC a.s.o. User Issues Transponder codes reset to 1200: the transponder codes can only be set in standby position Weather: strange effects? Disable the weather engine in the IvAp Configuration panel, section Weather. MTL: during the flights you will see the other aircraft as well as other pilots will see you, as long as both ends fly P3D4. You will see only "lights" or " black textures" from those aircraft that are not developed in a 64 bits version. Another MTL Read this post.
