2 1 Downloading Success Things we ve learned along the way. 1. Become familiar with your device: Read the user manual and be prepared to experiment and explore the various options that your device offers. Be patient and don t expect to know everything at first. You are beginning to explore an entirely new way of reading and listening to books! 2. Our content comes to us through Overdrive and OneClickdigital: The content rarely overlaps between the two sources. Search both sources when looking for something to download. 3. The two sources have some significant differences: Overdrive i. offers ebooks, eaudiobooks, and evideos ii. content may require you to go on a waiting list you receive an when the title is available iii. allows up to 5 downloads at a time OneClickdigital i. offers eaudiobooks and some ebooks ii. most content is available all of the time with no waiting iii. allows up to 10 downloads at a time 4. Want to know what titles are available from the Logan Library? You may search the library catalog, go to the Overdrive and OneClickdigital websites, or download the app for these two services and use it to search. 5. Remember that there are some fantastic titles available for free from the Logan Library, so explore what works best for you. Enjoy!

3 2 OneClickdigital eaudiobooks You may access the OneClickdigital service in one of three ways. 1. Login to the Logan Library site for OneClickdigital at 2. Download and login to the OneClickdigital media manager from the website onto your computer. 3. Download the OneClickdigital app from the itunes App Store for your Apple device or from GooglePlay for your Android device. Instructions: 1. FIRST TIME ONLY >> Create New Account Enter your library card number (example: BLOG ) then create a username and password. Creating an account works best on the website and not on a portable device. 2. Use the app on your Apple or Android device to select, download, and access a title 3. Or select and checkout a title on the website Access the title through the media manager or the app Transfer the title from the media manager to an MP3 device NOTE: Not all devices are compatible with OneClickdigital. Go to to find out if your MP3 player is compatible. Become familiar with your device and the formats it supports.

4 3 OverDrive and Kindle You will need a Kindle device or a Kindle app on your computer or device to view Kindle format ebooks. NOTE: For Kindle Fire, all you need is to download the OverDrive app. See page 5: OverDrive for Tablets or Smartphones. For the Kindle Touch select a title: 1. Go to 2. Select Account and sign in by selecting Logan Library and entering your library card number (example: BLOG ) 3. Browse and search for Kindle format ebooks. Use the advanced search to limit your search to Kindle format ebooks. 4. If your desired title is checked out, select Place a Hold You will be contacted by when your title is available. 5. Otherwise, click Borrow and then Download and select the Kindle format. Click Confirm and Download and you will be forwarded to Amazon.com Select Get Library Book You may be prompted to enter your login information for your Amazon.com account. Transfer the title to your Kindle using USB or through a wifi connection directly to your Kindle by turning the wireless on in your device. NOTE: You must be in a wireless location for your Kindle to receive these titles. 3G downloads do not work for library titles.

5 4 OverDrive and Nook You will need a Nook device or a Nook app on your computer or device to view EPUB format ebooks. NOTE: For Nook Tablets, all you need is to download the OverDrive app. See page 5: OverDrive for Tablets or Smartphones. For the Nook Touch select a title: 1. Go to 2. Select Account and sign in by selecting Logan Library and entering your library card number (example: BLOG ) 3. Browse and search for EPUB or PDF format ebooks. Use advanced search to limit your search to this format 4. If your desired title is checked out, select Place a Hold You will be contacted by when your title is available. 5. Otherwise, select Borrow and then Download to download the Adobe EPUB ebook or Adobe PDF ebook to your computer FIRST TIME ONLY>>Create an Adobe ID at 1. Install Adobe Digital Editions on your Computer: editions/download.html 2. Open Adobe Digital Editions on your computer >> Continue >> Authorize Computer 3. Enter the and password for your Adobe ID. Transfer ebook to Nook 1. Plug Nook into computer. 2. Open downloaded ebook in Digital Editions. Make sure you're in "Library" view and your ebook reader should show up under "Devices." 3. Click on an ebook, then drag it over to your device. 4. Once the transfer is complete, you can disconnect your device and start reading.

6 5 OverDrive for Tablets or Smartphones Note: Before you begin, download the Overdrive app for your Apple device from the itunes App Store or for your Android device from GooglePlay. First time for ebooks: 1. Open the OverDrive app 2. From the Menu, tap Settings 3. Tap Authorize >> the Adobe Authorization screen opens 4. Enter your Adobe ID and password >> Authorize Instructions: NOTE: if you do not have an Abobe ID, you will be prompted to create one 1. Use the app on your Apple or Android device to select, download, and access a title From the Home menu select Add a Library Type in Logan Library >> select by touching the star Choose a Library >> select Pioneer Utah s Online Library Sign in with your library card number (example: BLOG ) Browse or search for a desired title>> tap Borrow >> Download (EPUB or PDF work with tablets) Go back to Home menu >> Bookshelf to read title 2. You can also select and checkout a title on the website by browsing to Overdrive at then access the title on the app NOTE: Not all titles are available for immediate access on the Overdrive database. You will need to place a hold on some titles. You will be contacted by when these titles are available.
