8 Tree locations - Camera or LiDAR Pointcloud is used to detect trees Canopy mapping results is quite similar with LiDAR and Camera, thus tree locations possible with both sensors Ground must be detected for height measurement, always possible from LiDAR In open forest (or forest with some gaps) also camera detects ground In Finland (and in many other countries) ground available from other sources, thus camera also OK in closed forest Camera points only from the canopy, thus D 1.3 only through models LiDAR points also from stem directly, not yet applied.
